    I thought I smelled you.

Its one thing to have games like that and bounce back in the manner they did. I didn't jump ship and cry all day after the Oakland game. And I expected the same against a 4-8 team before this afternoon. I'm not a psychic, so I can't see into the future. So excuse me for having confidence and wanting to see my team win...

And where in the blue fuck did I say that "The season is over and they are not making the playoffs." I can still be confident, maybe they run the table. But as of today they are embarrassing. I don't look at things week to week like a dumbfuck fan.

I'm embarrassed by the ideology more than the play on the field. This team thinks and acts scared every season. I don't.

    Do you get it?

And ignoring shit.. I remember being attacked for complaining about playcalling and methods of attack after wins. You need to get over me.

Nah, we've got 5 losses, and they've all been embarassing losses to teams that were clearly inferior at the time we played them, either through losing to them period, the effort level, or by the lopsidedness.

I could turn the Lions around. My dog can turn the Lions around.

I'm not asking for much, just a team that can think like the other successful franchises and stop being afraid of success. Anytime they get some they seem to piss it away in a very feminine fashion.

I love how the people making the most depressing posts are the same people that were ripping people for having the audacity (gasp) of criticizing this team for some absolutely pathetic performances like the "wins" against the Bengals and Chiefs. These were the same people who went nuts when people said the Broncos loss was very concerning. Let's not even mention the Oakland game.

Week 17 is going to be crazy. That Jets-Dolphins game could be huge.

Going to Seattle next week will be tough. I don't trust Favre to do anything so the running game will have to step up.

If the Jets don't make the playoffs, the Favre trade will be a colossal failure. Wait, what am I saying? He changed how defenses react to this whole offense! Kellen Clemens is going to be so good

Remove the "embarassing" referral and we would all agree, or at least, we should. Who would want to live their life as sucessfully as the Jets play on the field? Truly, some folks do but some strive to be better and one can look up to them for striving and trying.

There is a difference with the Jets that the OP is referring to. Their form of striving does not command respect. If they used every weapon they had, and still failed, they would get respect. But instead the offense is conservative with dump offs and ill-timed long passes. The defense is out positioned. The coaches don't seem to really give a shit.

It perpetuates the loser image of the Jets--some people lose with dignity--the jets seem to have none.

they have the Bills in between the Seattle game.

I see it as a win, because maybe, just maybe they'll turn it around against a Bills team that may have quit on their season.

Seattle better win next week so they get that win out of their system.

If you keep listening to the papers and the "experts," you will continue to look uninformed.

Yep. I'd rather see Ratliff or Ainge next year though. I'd also rather see Cowher.

I'm not there yet.... when I'm asking for the head of every Jet employee in a loss and thinking that they are super bowl bound with each win... then I'm just like the other football fans across the country.

But I really do wanna but the Lions

I just want to go to sleep for a week and wake up next sunday and hope we can fix this with a win over buffalo. I have a feeling I may want to just go back to sleep until next september after that.

The problem starts with Woody and his "loyalty" to Mangini and Co. Woody is a fan. He don't know shit about football. If they weren't about to lay the wood to the fan base with PSL's, he wouldn't have spent all that money on free agents this year. Fan or not, he has to see by now that this coaching staff is inferior, what with all the weird Pop Warner shit they have pulled over the past 3 yrs. Nothing's gonna change until he does.

guys please please i am upset too, embarassed and all that. Please dont start talking about starting over. we are in first place we win 3 games we will be favorites in we win the division .
lets keep a bit of faith, I honestly still see this team winning a home playoff game and ending up in pitt or tenn week 2 or playoffs. the type of game those two teams play will give us chance to win,
the one good thing that we still might have going for us is if we find way to beat indy, balt or someonne rd 1
the two highest seeds will be our opponent and you know what i think they are the two teams we match up best with

I was more embarressed to be a fan watching Bubby Brister throw that shovel pass right at the LB for a TD. I mean he tossed that bitch right at him and just stepped aside....TD! What a disaster that team was.
