This is inexcusable. We've lost to the Raiders, KC, and San Fran? Man, that is just pathetic. The talent is there, so it can only be coaching. Sutton needs to go post haste, and if Mangini chokes this season away he needs to go too. And if I ever, EVER see another 3 man rush I will strangle a puppy, and it'll be on your hands, Sutton.
lol, imagine how tannenbaum feels, i feel bad for him. gets all that talent on this team, only for manigini and that bastard SUTTON to fuck it up
We had destiny in our hands with 2 winnable games, and blew it. The division WILL go to Miami and Chad Pennington, and this organization will be embarassed.
We didn't lose to KC, but your point is totally accurate. These coaches are losers, plain and simple. We have winning talent, but our coaching is hold us back. FIRE THESE JACKASSES!
The great pretenders strike again. I gave them the name the great pretenders after they started 10-1 in the 1986 season.
We do not have the talent on either side of the ball. We were expected to compete this year but we do not have the players to be anything special.
does anyone remember 2 weeks ago? or actually 8 days ago? things sure do seem to have changed a little bit.
Talent??? TALENT? We have two talented players on each side of the ball. Not a very talented team by any means.
I have a tough time understanding why the 8 wins are all about the players, but the 5 losses are all about the coaches. Forgive me, but where is all this great talent? The defensive line is incapable of generating any pass rush, the linebackers neither cover nor blitz well, the secondary other than Revis is average at best. The receivers don't get separation, and the quarterback has hardly lit it up either. I don't think there is any question that they get away from the run and Thomas Jones way too quickly, and that is on the OC. Otherwise, it seems to me that the talent just isn't really there.
That's where you're mistaken. Our 8 wins were *mostly* (KC game definitely excluded) good coaching. The Jets have teetered with a lot of wins, and really stunk it up with most of the losses. This team starts and stops with the coaching. The philosophy of the head coach allows us to occasionally excel, but for the most part be a losing team.
Seems to me that a talented team would be the exact opposite - occasionally blowing teams out just from that, but losing close ones because of bad coaching. On the other hand, a team with limited talent sometimes sneaks by because of coaching, but often gets destroyed simply because they're not good enough to make plays.
