If he's still on the board... Maurice Stovall... what did you get with the other picks any way? Just so I know.

BTW Ellis, He is picking as the Jets so just look at their picks to know who he drafted.

Yeah I just went to the link... I like the Eslinger pick as well, and think we can get Stovall at the end of the round with 97.

    Ellis

Only take Eslinger with the late 3rd round pick. This draft is pretty much a disaster as it is.

1a. Cutler - We already have Ramsey, who is Cutler with NFL experience, to man the ship if Chad cannot go. Could have taken a late 3rd or early 4th QB instead. Passed on Mario, Hawk, or Ngata would have been my pick.

1b. White - We have 3 healthy, viable RB's on our roster. Mangold, Watson, or Carpenter would have been my pick.

    2. Winston - Wouldn't hate this pick if you'd picked up a defensive stud in the 1st, but you didn't. D could finally have been addressed here with Watson, Hall, or Kiwanuka were still available.

3a. At this point we still need a DE/OLB pass rusher or a monster NT. If one is still on the board, that's the direction I'd go.

3b. Eslinger if he's there. BPA if he's not.

Ellis 92: didn't you go to the site?
The rest of the picks were Cutler (probably a mistake), Lendale White, and Eric Winston. If I went Mario Williams at #4, this might be a good spot for Brodie Croyle.

But just to be sure, you guys want Eslinger over Chris Chester of Oklahoma?

They dont need to take Eslinger they will groom Katnick into the roll so he can replace Teague in 2 years. In the meantime Katnick will add depth. BRODIE CROYLE IS THE !ST PICK FOR THEM IN RD #3.

I'm not a big fan of Eslinger. He's undersized, and many feel he will only be successful in a zone blocking system.

We will most likely stay with Teague and Katnik.

I agree. but he is a Bears fan so we can give him a break. I can only imagine a disaster draft I could do for them.(I would think I would have drafted the best Bears draft, but the hardcore fans would go WTF). The rest of the league(fans) think we are going QB. Its not saying much but yesterday an ESPN poll had us getting Vince Young.

Cutler at 4? Mock doom. Mock dismay. Mock call to the suicide prevention center. Young to the raiders? Do we mock play the every year like in real life? Sorry, dude, but IMO you get a boo hiss for rd. 1. A real one, not a mock one.

That's a pick I would like. We have used our first 3 picks on offense so a big DT like him would be perfect.

I really don't like the draft by the way. We need to fill needs on the line and in our front 7 before worrying about QB and RB, where we have sercivable platoons at both spots. Houston has shown he can be a starter behind a good line (as he averaged 4 ypc behind the piece of crap we had at the end of the year) and I think he taking the load off of Curtis Martin will allow CMart to survive one more year. We need to give Chad his last chance before we use the 4 on a QB or we may wind up like SD with Rivers/Brees in a few years and we'll be stuck paying 2 QBs $5 million a year.

Edit: Looking it over, Mario Williams, Bobby Carpenter, and then Eric Winston would have been much better.

Go Defense with the first 3rd pick:

    OLB you can look at:

    Thomas Howard (UTEP) 6'2" - 231lbs, runs 4.45 40 or Oshinowo Babatunde (Stanford) 6'1" 302 5.37 40 - as mentioned above.

But if your set on going Offense ... look at OG:

    Davin Joseph (Oklahoma) 6'2" 304lb
    Fred Matua (USC) 6'2" 307lb

With Kendall getting older (but better I pray) and the depth at the interior not that great ... grabbing a top 4 OG (only two off the board in this draft so far) could be good value at this point.

Joseph's gone but Charles Spencer's still available. I think I might like him better than Babatunde. The reason being that I've already gone with a new QB, and a new RB. Now, I've gone and gotten a LT in Eric Winston. It might be smart to get a LG and a C with the next two picks to protect the QB. In fact, I think that's the direction I'll go, if Spencer's still there.

I hate to say this, but let's face it guys, rebuilding's going to take you a couple of years at least. And considerably longer if I run your drafts. ;) lol

    Thanks for the input.
