Fank Gore is the key to everything that the 49ers do.

I believe that Mangini will remember the 01 Pats SB win when Martz had Marshall Faulk and they took him out of the game by roughing him up. Its the same thing with Gore and Martz, you have remove Gore from the game.

Shaun Hill has been successful in the last few games, but his line is atrocious. With Harris back its time to send the dogs after him and get that sack total up. SF can't pass block, so let's hope that Sutton grows a pair and sends 5 all game. Hill can move, but name the receiver that he will throw too.. Isaac Bruce??? Revis already took him out of the game, and its only wednesday. Law and Lowery can take care of whatever is lining up on the other side.

Jenkins should return to life, the SF OL cannot contain him. I think Ellis and Pace come back to life as well.

It is a west coast game so I don't see a 42-17 blowout, but I do see TJ and Keller embarrassing people yet again. Patrick Willis is the key to their Defense. Get rid of him and the Jets will be fine. I see the Jets hitting their PPG average in this game.

    Kill Gore, win the game.

Does anyone know what their ST kickoff coverage is ranked? If it sucks, Leon should give Favre and TJ short fields to work with.

The Jets will dominate the 49rs this week. They do not match up well with us at all.

I would agree, but we need to prove we can play on the west coast before I predict a total blowout. Still, we should win for sure.

That's the only thing the niners have going for them. Jets win big.

    Jets - 31
    Niners - 10

I did a little research on their QB whose played the last 3 games. He's averaging about 225 yards a game and has had one 300 yard game. Based on stats regarding the yardage given up to opposing qb's from another thread, he should throw between 300 and 338 yards this game. We'll see.

Gore yes...but I think Martz is gonna spread the field and have Hill throw around 50 times. He'll look down field and if nothing is there he'll dump it to Gore where things could get dangerous. Lets not forget Vernon Davis either...we cant cover TE's for SH*T!! I worry about the screen pass to Gore as well...teams have killed us with that too.

With that being said if Sutton doesnt pressure the hell out of this kid I'm gonna go through the roof!! After this season we need a DC with some balls!! Man I wish we got Ryan in the offseason.

Well, what if Martz spreads the field, ignores the running game as he is prone to doing, uses Morgan, Bruce, and Hill spread wide like Denver, and use the pass to set up Gore, both in the run and the short pass. I like our defense, but last week was pretty sad sometimes.

I pray that yardage comes in garbage time when the Jets are up by 3 scores.

They don't have the horses to do what Denver did.

    1) Hill is no Cutler.
    2) Their #1 receiver may not be as good as Denvers #2.
    3) Their o-line cannot pass protect nearly as good.
    4) With Harris back in the lineup we'll have better coverage from that position as well as Pace freed up to blitz.

#4 may well be the reason our passing game got worse . With his return I hope to see better pressure on the QB. Now if I could only see the game.

Anyone know a good sports bar in Toulouse?

You know Mike Martz is thinking pass, pass, pass after our last game. He does involve Gore a nice amount in the passing game compared to in the past. The key to this game is to get pressure on Hill or he will light us up like Tyler Tygpien did.

Saying the key is Frank Gore is just another of way of saying they have only one good offensive player.

Don't worry they only give him the ball a lot every other week, and he carried it a lot last week so we're good.

Remember the Chiefs game? Thigpen is not Cutler either...
I don't think we're in any position to take any offense lightly. Not with the way our defense has played last week and for most of the season (against the pass).

True, but any team with a no-name QB scares the shit out of me.
