Wow that's kind of stupid! I have never heard anyone make an argument against the very reason this site exists while posting is own diagnosis of " Most of the people on this board" unimportance. I'm really sorry you have suffered in silence this long. My door's always open if you need some to talk to.
Calm down? Some of us are just calling it like it is. You're only as good as the last game you played, and right now we suck.
Trite cliches are nice but they aren't overly constructive and provide no real insight into most situations. The Jets are still a very good team, and by the way, so are the Patriots. (Both teams got their clocks cleaned at home yesterday) All I am saying is, the Jets had a bad day yesterday but are stilll in great shape to do something really positive down the stretch. They are still in position to win their division and still in position to contend for a 2nd round bye.
Only as good as the last game you played? Thats short sighted even for football. I prefer Parcells' idea. You are what your record says you are. And, right now, we're 8-4 and in first place in the AFC East. Thats who we are right now. In a month, we'll see who we were for the 2008 season.
Don't know if this has been posted but Steve Sabol noted BEFORE the JET loss how something like 3 or 4 of the last 5 SB champs played their worst ball after the Thanksgiving break and he also stated that prior to the Holiday those teams also hadn't played their best ball. Didn't care at the time but now it's looking like a stat I hope continues.
