Let's face it, our players are always put in a position to overcome bad coaching.

    On defense...
We have plenty of solid defensive players but they are never in the right place. Brandon Marshal was WIDE open on a few plays right down the middle of the field. How come no one is covering the number one receiver in the middle of the field?

Why does every tight end in the league light us up?

    We never have creative blitzes.

We never seem to make adjustments.

    On offense..
We're always outsmarting ourselves. Today, TJ finally got going running a few 10+ yarders and then we pass the next several downs and kick a FG. We do a risky toss play when we were moving the ball fine with non-gadget plays. Against KC we decided not to run much on one of the worst running defenses and we barely won. Why can't we just attack the other teams' weaknesses and not try to get so cute all the time?

As for the players, Elam sucked today. I never thought I would say "put in Eric Smith" but I did today. And Gholston has no killer instinct. Cutler should have been on his ass on that one throw from the sideline across his body to the middle of the field.

anyone that wasn't sitting in that pouring rain watching the refs make awful call after awful call, the broncos faking injuries and prolonging the misery even longer and watching that moronic offensive gameplan fail as Favre couldn't even execute on 5 yard passes, only to throw bombs in short situations, and watching our awful defense get gashed by the same play time and again not to mention that fucking mike alstott wannabe nobody fucking white RB can go fuck themselves. this seems to be a pattern with couch sitting pieces of shit such as yourself who can't handle the Jets playing awful so they feel the need to blame other fans.

anyone that showed up for any part of today's mess of a game should be given a medal.

next week is the trap. So far we havent played well on the west coast and San Fran is easy to overlook.

oh i see...so when your losing at halftime....leave the game like a fair weather pussy fuckbag such as yourself??? i've never seen a stadium clear out like ive seen jets home games clear out.....nowehere in the nfl...not even detriot lions games....

maybe instead of blaming those who dont have season tickets you should sit in the fucking game like you planned to do before the game not dependant on the score you fucking prick...if you can't sit in a game for 60 minutes why dont you give your season tickets to someone who wants them....

Except I didn't leave the game. I'm just not enough of a pretentious cunt to care how other people who paid for their tickets care to spend their Sunday afternoons/evenings. Regardless of the outcome it was a miserable situation to watch a game in. Having the Jets play awful just made it that much worse.

when half the stadium clears out i do care...because a big part of home field advantage is the crowd support...and when half your crowd vanishes it makes a difference...

how did you not leave the game if you were posting right after the game ended?? just curious..

Agreed with everything. We showed no heart and were badly out played and out coached.

Brett always said last year that the challenge is not so much how you face adversity as how you face success. Often you overlook your deficiencies and can come into a game "flat". That seemed to be the case today. The Jets never really got it together. The Broncos were clearly "up" for this game, moreso than the Jets.

i was sitting on my couch today. however i spent quite a few shitty sundays watching the jets play and i dont understand how anyone leaves a game.

shit i stay and watch high school games in the shitstormiest weather, i have to wonder what these ticket holders would do if their kids were playing a high school game today? would they go ahead and leave.... probably. i just dont understand how you go to a game and then leave at half time.

there are far too many fans that really dont give a shit about the actual football game, they are more interested in the "party" outside before the game, the girls taking their shirts off and the fights to worry about the actual game. but hey that is there money they are wasting.

Same old Jets showed up. Wake me when they're in the SB. Until then, it's tough wasting an afternoon watching them. Unfortunately as a Jets fan, I have to see the Giants actually step up to the plate and carry the mantle as the team to beat each week. This team doesn't have the killer instinct or the confidence and that comes from the HC!

i think hes just getting sensitive because what im saying apparently applies to him....he said he didnt leave early but posted on the board at 8....i guess maybe thats possible since there must have been no traffic after the game ended...lol but still doubtful...but more than likely was stuck in traffic at halftime and didnt get home until 8

Eh, it's about the same as calling someone a pussy. it's one of the seven dirty words. It gets a bad rap, though.

this was a huge blown game, but to be optimistic pats lost too...were 8-4 and still 1st in the division..we still control our own destiny...we cant afford to slip up vs the 49ers which could be a trap game cuz i saw the game against the bills...they pretty much dominated buffalo...but at 8-4 and still 1st place we just need to focus on winning again...this loss will help us get grounded again...we were on an emotional high after 2 huge road wins.

That's fair enough. Most people posting here (whether they would admit it or not) would have left early during a game and a cold rainstorm like this.

But then again, Jets fans often leave early regardless.

    Shanahan >>> Mangini

The Broncos piledrived us with a bunch of scrubs - Payton Hillis??

It looked like they had the perfect playcall every time. Even their run D looked stout, at least when they had to make a big stop. Cutler was totally comfortable in the pocket, never once did he look even remotely bothered by the fact that we had D-Lineman, Linebackers, and DB's on the field.
We've proven that we can't consistently cover anybody.

Lowery should be starting and not Ty Law. The rookie may get beat on occasion, but I have more faith in him than Mr. Aliquippa at this point. I'm sorry if this offends anybody.
