I hope we are good enough over the next 3-4 years to be hated on by the rest of the country as much as the pats, cowboys, and yankees are hated on right now. A solid 'hate level' is the mark of a true dynasty. The fish, pats and titans are on board. It's been fun (so far) making the transition from 'The Darlings' to 'The Nightmare' of the NFL. Hopefully a few years from now the entire planet will hate us to our core.
The Jets are Hated on by the media and other fans even when we are bad. If we will have hatred that last a lifetime.
yes, but there's a diff between 'standard, new york hate' and 'new york dynasty hate mixed with new york arragance hate'. Jet fans like me have the arragance part covered. now we just need the dynasty part to kick in. true hate. that should be our goals for the next 3 years.
No one hates the Jets cuz no one respects the Jets. Let's win a Superbowl and then start thinking about a dynasty that people hate.
I would think that if we win "the right way" with class act players, coaches, and a classy organization, that we will be respected and not hated. Look at the Spurs, for example: nobody hates the Spurs, except maybe some Lakers fans. If we continue to win, have our players stay out of trouble, and do it without a huge media favorite (i.e.: this year minus Favre) I don't think we'd be hated. We hate the Pats because Belichick is a scumbag, and because they're cheaters and ran up the score. The Yankees spend a trillion dollars. The Cowboys have TO and Pacman and a meddling owner. Stay classy, New York.
I hate the spurs. And does anyone think for a minute that if the jets win the next 3 superbowls we're gonna be 'classy' fans. Classy players maybe, but that only adds to our workload.
I'm a huge NBA fan (die hard knick fan) and I HATE the spurs. (although i do respect them tremendously) I know what you mean though.
