They are shooting for #1 in the draft, they HAVE to be throwing the season. based on the highlights I've seen this season, there's no other option.
Interesting strategy seeing as no amount of first round picks ever seems to turn that miserable franchise around.
No one wants to live with the infamy and shame of 0-16 though. Their best chance at winning a game is vs Minn next week. I can't see them beating Indy, NO or GB.
Minnesota will run the crap out of them. I'm almost positive I could get a 150 yard game on them. And as long as they don't get another fucking WR in the draft, they can't go wrong, every position needs an upgrade!
0-16 is actually a posibility this season. If Lions had any chance to avoid it, that was today. After today, all 4 teams Lions face are ALL fighting for playoff spot. No easy win in sight.
Minnesota (only lost 12-10 the first time) @Indy (nope) New Orleans (Saints D could disappear, Lions win?) @Green Bay (GB out of the playoffs, Detroit win?) Couple ways they could win a game, but you don't often see football played as poorly as the Lions played today.
I didn't watch the game, just the video highlights at nfl.com. That looked like the worst nfl team I have ever seen.
Not that Titans were easy teams - I didn't make that clear. What I meant was, Titans were the least of who needed a win out of all 5. And then they were pretty much pissed off after last week's loss - so in other words, Lions have virtually no shot at avoiding the inevitable 0-16.
Crabtree and Johnson would make for a deadly 1-2 combo. But too bad that's the only excitement they'd have
this team is so bad that we will never see marinelli ever again, just like rich kotite. who could possibly take him serious now?
it would indeed. but if they take another wide receiever in this draft the entire organization should be disbanded.
