if lienart was avilable at number 4, i think the jets would have a hard time not taking him, though ipersonalyl think we'll be fine with chad. this mock is way off in my opinon.
At #4 it would have to either D'Brick or Mario, whoever is available. Depending on who we draft at #4 will determine the @29 pick. So I see it working out in one of two ways (with several variations)... 1) #4- Mario #29- Mangold / Davin Joseph / Jean-Gilles / O'Callaghan / Whitworth / Scott 2) #4- D'Brick #29 Lawson / Carpenter / Wimbley /Watson
Dodd is obviously retarded if he thinks Hawk is going at #2 and Leinart will fall to #9. Retarded I tell you.
Exactly. Judge and Prisco write for Sportsline so the title of this thread should read :Nice Draft Board CBS Sportsline" :breakdance:
While I think that D'Brick and Mangold are going to be good players, I wouldn't be happy if the Jets went O-line with both picks in the first round. As deep as the OT pool is this year, I just can't see taking D'Brick at 4.
Thank You Too many offensive linemen in this draft to pick him up at 4. How much will the Jets have to pay him? I would rather spend that money on Williams or Davis. One of em is gonna be available
I'm of the opinion we should go with Davis after the signing of teague and if the signing of Pearson are true. I still think we get a good strating lineman at 29 or 35 and even at the top of the third. We should get a serious playmaker, especially because our recieving corp isn't that strong.
I agree with needing a playmaker This Jets franchise has no one on the offense that teams are fearful or concerned about. We can address that in this draft. There are at least 4 good linemen in the first round. We have two picks in the first. Lets get at least one difference maker with one of them.
I COULD NOT agree more. However, it all depends on which thread you open regarding which player dujour there is. I would really like to see a poll of ALL TGG readers/posters to see what the over all concensus pick is. Not which QB would you pick or which Def. player is best at #4 but which player, as a whole, do we NY JETS fans want. And what's with all the Batman crap?
I was just listening to ESPN Radio on the way home and some jackass had emailed the station stating that, "He was a Jets fan and thought that Omar Jacobs was very underrated and he would be happy if we took him at #4." I think Omar was a great passing QB with very good passing stats but if we take him at #4, I will stop watching football. As for the genius who sent the email please get neutered so that you cant infect anyone else on this planet with your genes.
lol if we ever took jacobs @4 that will be the day i finally give up on ganggreen. thank god this wont happen though.
Theres no way we are now going to waste a pick on Mangold now , unless he falls into the second round. And I can't see us passing on Williams in favour of D'Brick. Mangini seems to be content to fill the oline needs via FA. If we drafted Jacobs at 4 ? LOL
