He was absolutely unbelievable today... so much pregame talk about the matchup with Mawae and how Mawea had all those "tools in his toolbox he'd use on Jenkins"... man WOW. Jenkins was a BEAST. Running down Chris Johnson... CLOGGING the hell out of the middle... and pressure like crazy... he actually made Mawae look bad. And thats really saying something.
That was A LOT OF FUN TO WATCH.
Aside from the general Jets shallacking today, of course, lol.

Watching him toss Mawae aside was an eye opener. I mean he just threw him to the side.

Chris Collinsworth said on the NBC preagme that Jenkins is the Defensive Player of the Year, and possibly the MVP of the league this year.

It's difficult to argue with that.

By the way, I decided to donate a few bucks to this Website earlier today, hope a few of you can do the same. I didn't give a lot of money, but you can donate a few bucks through Paypal and it helps theganggreen.com a lot.

Sorry for the commercial message. But really. Just a few bucks helps.

Guys... he was unreal... I was very interested in watching Haynesworth today... because I admit it... I was bummed that he re-signed... the we got Jenkins and I said OK.... lets see what he can do as a 3-4 Nose.. Bring it on big man! And he is the MAN on this defense. With his pressure, and run stopping ability, and attention... and the way Revis is in coverage... and the play of Rhodes... just wow gents...
sit back and enjoy this ride.
I was on phone with my dad (he's 63, I'm 36, we've been around and seen some games, and taken our licks) and he says, well we should be good for a wildcard spot... and I said whoa pops, none of that same old Jets worst case crap... WE ARE ROLLING lets think about catchin the Titans for a one seed baby! Can you believe we're talking about that!!!!!!

Guy was born for the 3-4, signature move by Tangini...

The other additions... Pace and Faneca had good games, too.

The only time Mawae could slow him down was the tackle by the neck..... Jenkins ate this guy for breakfast and lunch today.

I hope a defensive player wins the MVP just out of fairness. Otherwise they should rename it the Most Valuable QB or RB award.

Jenkins, to me is the best thing this team has going forward. Favre is great, but if he retires after the season, weve still got Jenkins, weve still got a dominating defense for the next 3 or 4 years at least. This guy brings a presence to the defensive side of the ball that honestly is unlike just about anything I've seen before on this team. The only thing I can think of... is John Abraham on those days, two or three times a season, that hed be unstoppable. But Jenkins does it every week. AND this is his first year playing the position. AND were missing our best ILB behind him for the last couple weeks.

All I can think of when I watch this guy play is, Belichick must be kicking himself SO hard for not seeing years ago what Jenkins could do in a 3-4 defense. Wilfork is solid, dont get me wrong, but Jenkins is on a whole different level.

Mawae was no match for Jenkins, I'd bet Mawae was wishing he was back on the other bench during this game.

It's probably embedded in another thread but did anyone catch the end of his post game press conference? He ended with something like "Can I go? I'm gonna go get something to eat!" with a huge grin. I love this guy

like 570 just said, jenkins is shutting down the run all by himself. scary to think how much better our run d will be when harris gets back. down right scary.

as long as harris is back for the jacob bender game in november, we'll be better than fine.
