Chad has always been a solid game-manager and a strong QB when complimented with a strong run game. His problem is that he can't put the team on his back and carry them when they're behind or in obvious passing situations.

Because, gone or not, the point symbolizes the huge strides this organization has made, by trading him, whilst the sentence in bold reminds us of past pains, Chad has cost us. No matter what Chad is a Jet legend, and deserves to be mentioned when something is up.
I agree. Kind of. I tend to want all the threads about old players to stop but when game day comes you can't help but compare. I.E....Chad, Herm, and today even Kevin. It's just that I'm so F'N happy most these guys are gone it makes me tingle and want to talk about it some times. I get it, I guess.
They already beat the Patriots once, and keep in mind that Chad's doing great with a very young Dolphins team. I can see them being very competitive next season.
Very well said. He just doesn't have the physical ability to make big plays down the field in obvious passing situations ON A CONSISTENT BASIS. This doesn't mean he's not a fine NFL quarterback, it just means that the people arguing that we'd be either just as well off (or even better off) with Chad instead of Favre are either not intellectually honest football fans or are just very silly individuals.
The difference in this team is not Favre. In fact, the Jet passing offense looks the same as it has looked for years. The difference is a dominating OL and a front 7 that can finally, finally stop the run and rush the passer. I'm not saying Favre is not playing well (that TD pass to Coles was unbelievable), but this team is winning because of its play in the trenches. Period.

I saw both the fins and jets today (Jets game streaming - fin's game TV). Chad played an amazing game. 3 passing TD's and 1 rushing TD against a very angry NE defense. He is not the reason they lost this game. Miami's defense was horrible. Chad looked better then he has in years.
