I haven't missed a game since the 1996 season, and I have to tell you that this is the most dominant Jets team that I have ever seen take the field. We're amazing on both sides of the ball AND on Special Teams. I can't think of any Jets team in recent history that's any better, but of course 1998 still holds that title until this team wins the AFC Championship.
It's starting to feel like 1998 again, Vinny and Wayne are smiling along with alot of others, but we need to realize we are not anywhere close to a SB
The only difference is that Favre > Vinny, but Parcells > Mangini. I guess they even out. Also, I don't see any team in the AFC right now that is as dominant as the Broncos were that year.
Very true. There's a LOT of dangerous teams up at the AFC top this year. Even the WC teams can be a real threat.
Yeah, this is the best, hands down, since '98 and unless there is a major setback like an injury to one of the keys, this team will go undefeated from here on out. Look at how many playmakers are on this team actually making the big plays. Favre, Cotchery, Washington, Jones, the O-Line, Keller and Coles. All play makers making plays How about Jenkins, Revis, Thomas, Elam and Rhodes. And I love that the Jets actually have a bonafide full back.
Yeah i would say this team, as they have been playing the past few weeks, has a slight edge over the '04 team. i would say that if the '08 and '98 teams played ten times, it would go 6-4 in favor of '98
The win today was the most dominant against a topflight team since the back to back wins against Green Bay and Indy in 2002.
Favre's career is better than Vinny's, Favre '08 is not even close to Vinny '98. Vinny was great all year, Favre just started playing well.
There is no question this is the best Jets team since 98, the question becomes is this the best Jets team since 68? Hopefully the answer becomes yes to that question.
Totally agree, is this going to be the best team since '68 :jets: Let's make the 40th anniversary a one-timer and let's go for a new celebration!!
I think this team has the potential to get even better than it is now, for these reasons: Law might be better than Lowery Elam is better than Smith Keller coming on strong David Harris is coming back more "gelling"
