I think what I loved most about the game today is that the only real answer to this is: everyone and no one. Nearly everyone played greatly, so literally no one had to be "the hero" in order to make things happen. That's when you know you have a good football team, when everyone just shows up and does their job, and gets it done without a lot of drama.
My bias wants to say favre, especially after that second td pass threading the needle. But, lets be honest: The trenches won this game. Our OL Dominated their "best DL int he league", and our DL dominated their OL. It was won in the trenches. It just helps to have TJ, Leon, and Favre back their to get all the yards.
Have to agree w/ those who vote for the whole team. Amazing team performance...Jenkins is truly a Titanic Jet! Solid win... Let's hear it now Sharpe and all the detractors... Bill Cower was the only one in the CBS NFL today gang that thought the Jets would win.
The heros today are clear - the OL and the defensive front 7. You don't beat an undefeated in their building by outgaining them 2 to 1 and holding the ball for 2/3 of the game without dominance in the trenches. The Jets punched the Titans in the face today over and over. When was the last time you could say that about a Jet team facing a top NFL team???? I can't remember the last time a Jet team just imposed their will on a very physical team. Favre was good, but the OL and defensive front 7 won this game hands down.
OL was incredible in the second half against an elite defense. Jenkins and co. proved that they don't think any team can run against them:hackett::martin::gpc:
