What concerns me is that the Jets haven't forced many turnovers at all against the good teams they have played. Obviously the better teams don't turn the ball over much, but still...... It would be nice to see the Jets get a couple of turnovers, and the flipside is that the jets also have to take care of the ball. Those are two critical points in beating a good team on the road.
hello jets fans well, go ahead and get all your excuses ready (bad coaching, players suck, favre is an idiot, al qaeda, george bush, etc............) because i'm telling you right now the jets are going to lose this game. after reading a good number of your posts it's obvious that vast majority of you haven't the slightest bit of familiarity with this team. your theories about the titans and how the jets are going to do this and do that (no matter how legit you might think you are) are completely off base. this titans team is a totally different animal than anything you have faced this year. week after week i have watched opposing fans say the exact same crap that you all are saying, but when the time comes to actually play the game and the dust has settled, the titans are the ones who come out on top. there's a reason why they are 10-0 people. you can run your mouths all you like about how the titans are overrated and haven't played any real competition and so forth. but come sunday, when you are sitting there watching your team getting it's collective ass handed to it, just remember all your lofty predictions and theories and be sure to remember this post. the titans will win. enjoy the game........ i know i sure will.
Pats fans trashing the Jets on the Colts board. What are the odds? forum.colts.com/showthread.php?t=36155&page=9
we have given up 23 points in the 1st quarter in the last 13 games. You going to have a busy 2nd quarter I guess.. lol
Some Jet fans might take this personal and call you a troll for visiting us this week. Me? I get so pumped up with the progress being made in the south...computers now?...and people know how to use them? It makes this game unimportant to me..as an American. WTG.
lol, you big city people are funny. Be a Giants fan and get it over with. You can root for them when we play them in Jan.
yeah, nothing really impressive... only lead our div, 2nd in the league in points scored,3rd in sacks, 4th against the run have the afc's leading rusher (including more total yrds, ypc and td's than your chris johnson) 5th in the league in top, keep underestimating us. u couldnt run against the bears, u think you'll have that much success against us?
I feel good, I think the extra rest off the emotional win last week will really help this team for this game.
Look, you actually make a fair point here - fans generally only really know their own team, so it is often the case that perceived weaknesses on another team are based on very limited knowledge. But that cuts both ways and you go on to seriously underrmine your argument by assuming the Jets are going to get slaughtered. How well do you know this Jets team? I'm perfectly willing to admit that I don't know much about the Titans. The difference between us is I'm not visiting Titans messageboards posting how the Jets are going to slaughter your team. Do you see the difference there?
I've actually watched several Titan game. The Pack game. The Bear game & the Jax & Indy games. My suggestion to the "genius" is to dust off the game plan used in SB3. The Colts from then & the Titans from now remind me of being extremely similar teams. Just like JWN then BF has that quick relase & can throw darts so we should be successful with a 3 step drop & let the ball go as JWN did in SB3
Im only teasing you big fella. Jet fans only root for the Giants when they play AFC teams...sooooo...yes...you are correct.
Good article on SNY this morning about Leon Washington. They pointed out that the Titans are ranked 31st in KR/PR defense. In other words, Leon is going to be their worst nightmare and he should have a pretty good day. At the very least, we should wind up with pretty good field position with each possession. They'll probably have their STs smother or "contain" the field rather than go for the quick tackle on him, which will mean more of a general coverage to minimize the damage of him taking it all the way to the house. That should translate, if nothing else, into Leon getting us pretty good field position from which to work with every KR/PR.
To have the 31st ranked KR/PR defense and be #1 in points against is pretty impressive. Lets hope Leon can return one for a TD.
ESPN: Fearing a 'Jim Jones' wide scale loss of players following the game on Sunday against the red hot New York Jets, Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has requested a paramedic be assigned to Vince Young and all shoe laces and razors removed from the Titans locker room. Said Fisher "It's gonna get ugly after the game, and I'm trying to prevent that".
