NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Titans are short-handed at cornerback heading into Sunday's game with the New York Jets.

The Titans were already without Eric King, who broke his forearm last week against Jacksonville, and will be without Reynaldo Hill and perhaps starter Nick Harper this week.

Hill is recovering from a hip injury, and Harper is listed as doubtful with a foot injury.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher indicated the Titans have some safeties who could shift to cornerback and that there could be a roster move before the game to provide some added depth at the position.

The Titans could also be short-handed on the defensive line. Kyle Vanden Bosch, nursing a groin strain, was rested on Friday and is questionable.

Rookie defensive tackle Jason Jones is out with a foot injury, while rookie defensive end William Hayes is questionable with a knee injury.

they still have Hope, Griffin, and Finnegan. But this helps.

Beat that front 7, and it gets easier from there.

The offense is what is going to win this game, the Jets defense will take care of itself.

wow...the Jets are really going to luck out with all the injuries. No reason why we cant win this game with a Defense this battered.

their front 7 is getting healthier, which may be a problem.

This game is going to be Favre vs Collins --- I like our chances.

Wow, I wonder if Fisher wishes Ty Law was still on the market.

Basically, Titans' gameplan on defense is, to create pressure from their front 4 - and then the 7 in the back can take care of the rest.

If Jets can neutralize the front 4, they will have a field day. If they can't, expect Favre to throw at least 3 INTs, if not more.

this is where Keller's skills are perfect. The matchups the Titans throw at Keller won't work.

Favre should have his TE connection all game. They take that away, someone else is open on a 1 on 1 matchup, or the running game will be available.

Sounds good to me. It seems like having a TE to throw too really brings out the best in Favre. He had so many clutch plays to Chmura and Franks in GB. The more they can integrate Keller the better.

It will be more than that though.....our O-line against VandenBosch and Haynesworth as well as their Oline which has only given up 12 sacks against Jenkins and company.....

I think the trenches decides this one, whoever can establish the run will win.

you're right of course, but the browns, jets, and pats weren't biting on the ty law sandwitch, so all law's rep had to do is pick up the phone, call tanny, and say:

"hey tanny, just wanted you to know that the titans have just expressed interest in ty to shore up their banged up secondary. don't you guys play the titans next week?"

    hello ty law.

With both Hill and Eric King out for the season, the team will patch over with journeyman Tyrone Poole and practice squad member Tuff Harris. Safety Vincent Fuller is expected to handle nickel duties, but the cornerback depth has taken a significant blow.

I think our WRs can handle the Practice Squad kid.

Whether its Brad Smith or Stuckey, they both can beat this kid up.

The empty backfield will be seen... or put LW in the backfield and go 4 wide including Keller... this is a headache for the Titans secondary. Stay away from Finnegan, Hope and Griffin.
