Pats at 10: "Like the black knight in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," the Patriots keep losing appendages but they fight onward. "It's just a flesh wound!" (TG)" how true!!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Hmmm ... I almost hesitate to give those paranoid-prone among the jets fans this observation, but note that the rankings are nearly entirely ranked by current record: 10-0 top, then 9-1, then 8-2, then 7-3, then 6-4, then 5-5 -- only Eagles 5-4-1 in the middle of the 5-5's break this pattern. Then notice that the only 7-3 team the Jets are ranked above is the one they beat head-to-head (the Cardinals) ... Does the above observation help?
18 (17) Bills 5-5-0 Tom Petty wrote a song about the Bills. No, not "Running Down a Dream." That was five weeks ago. This one's called "Free Fallin'." (TG)
Good luck Jets fans, this will definitly be the biggest test we've faced all year. I was very impressed with the Jets win against the Patriots on Thursday. The game was virtually snatched out of your hands with that Cassel to Moss TD, and then Favre did what he does best and drove you guys down the field for the W. These 2 teams are very similar. If Haynesworth isn't the best DT in the AFC, it's Jenkins. We do have a better defense, while you guys obviously have the better passing game, and the running game's seem to be about even. I'm gonna be biased here and pick the Titans to win, mainly because its a home game. But trust me, I wouldn't be suprised if we're 10-1 going into Thanksgiving. Again, good luck, and here's to an injury free game. Go Titans!
I wouldn't go anywhere near calling our running game on par with Tennessee's, although the numbers can be argued. Thomas Jones has definitely come on as a force the past few weeks, and it is great to see... but we still lack a power running element and I think that will be exposed against the Titans unless we can mask it with slants and crossing routes and screens in the passing game. We've been fortunate enough to face teams that are depleted on their defensive lines or just flat out suck. This week will tell Jets fans a lot about how they can do against strong run defenses, especially if KVB is back in the lineup for TN. People like to knock Collins for his past transgressions, but the guy is playing well and our defensive midfield has made much less talented QBs we've faced this year look like HOFers. If we can pressure him well, we will stay in the game, but our pass protection isn't what I would like to be, even with Law in there now. I just hope that Tennessee for some reason sees fit to throw at least 10 passes to Justin McCareins. I know, it's a pipe dream, but I'll stick with it. Good luck. I think it's gonna be an excellent game unless the Titans blow us out. Then it will be a shitty game.
Out run D is enough better than their rushing game that it offsets the rushing advantage they have. I agree with CTF, it is a push. On the flip side, their pass D is miles beyond ours. The closest we've faced, believe it or not, is Oakland.
#6 is awesome it is a little weird seeing the Jets in the top 10. I do not mind it at all and it freaking rules that they are rated that high. Tenn. guy posted without talking a bunch of shit that is very cool it should be one hell of a game. GO JETS! :jets:
Teams we've played this year >> Teams Titans faced this year. The best team they've beaten was the Ravens in Week 5. And I don't think they've beaten a "hot" team...mostly cause they haven't faced one...but the Titans have been steamrolling along against meh teams this year. The Colts and Ravens are the only teams I expect to really scare anyone, and even now they haven't fully captured anyone's fear this year. Meanwhile we've murdered Arizona, and lost one division game in one of the toughest divisions in the league. I like our chances.
