http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8792662/Jets-haven't-truly-ended-Pats'-reign?MSNHPHMA You knew it had to happen. Read this guys bullshit.
Nice! That's a perfect bulletinboard material Jets need. They better come out fired up next week - and massacre the Titans - then tell that good-for-nothing moron: "Shut up, bitch."
So basically he plagurized the Boston Globe article and put his name at the top and took Woody's out of it. All these so called experts can write all the drivel they want but the bottom line is the Jets are in 1st place alone with the 2nd best record in the AFC and 3 wins against three pretty good AFC East teams on the road.
This prick is a college basketball writer. Maybe he should stick to that instead of writing this piece of shit.
this is more bs from fox pretending they know how favre feels about the jets is actually in complete contradiction to what he says. According to SI, 'open his veins and he will bleed honesty', this guy isn't having a bar of it - just as they were claiming in week 2 he desperately wished he'd signed for the pats as well. They're talking out their arses. We haven't erased 11 out of 12 losses and division dominance by winning 1...but it gives us a chance to win the division and we need to do that now for this victory to be considered as a huge on. Also 'not the real pats' - everyone gets injuries, they've had more than others this year - but Bellicheck would be furious if you were to offer 'not the real pats' as an excuse every time they don't play like super-humans
I got a kick out of that.... oh so the fake Pats beat Buffalo, Denver, and the 1st place Jets. I'm sure every team the Pats beat in the last 7 years had every single player in uniform too. I love reading the comments made by the readers too, real football fans don't use injury as an excuse.
why is anyone surprised at this.its always gonna be like this.even in the postgame show last nite all deion and marshall faulk talked abotu how good cassell was.it was so bad i had to rewind the game to make sure we really won.noone is ever gonna say a good word about the jets live with it
That's the problem.... Cassell had nice statistics but if you watched the game you know Cassell wasn't good. How many balls did he underthrow or overthrow? He also missed Moss on what would have been a sure TD. He overthrew him by 15 yards!!! He was also lucky that Lowery didn't pick him off in the 4th quarter. He essentially had nice numbers because 4 Pat RBs combined 73 yards.
Guys I don't know why you dont prefer it this way. We know how good this team is/can be. We know they have the ability to be elite. Let the Media give us bulletin board material and let us be the underdog, less pressure from the media, means better playing by our guys on sundays. Also the Media will give us the respect we deserve when we not only make the playoffs, but we actually win a playoff game. When was the last time we did that? 2002? and before that 1998? and before that? the 80's? which is what 3 playoff wins in a really really long time? This franchise hasnt yet earned the respect that the Giants, Colts, Packers, Patriots and Steelers Franchises deserve. And their is just an over loving of the cowboys because of all the media-whores on that squad.
Who cares? The Jets are going far into the playoffs. You are with me on this. Right? So why worry about petty little stuff like this?
Honestly did you really expect anything different? I think we should all see this coming and if Tennessee is still undefeated after this weekend vs the Jags I think that our game vs the Titans will get major coverage because of how hot we are playing. If we beat them then we should get respect from the media. If we don't beat them then who cares. We should still make the playoffs and have no pressure on us to win from the media.
We just have to continue to win and everything will take care of itself. And on another note we had players not playing in that game also. Then there were the games when our starting qb were injured in past years. You take it for what it is, nothing. Go Jets!!!
First, who cares? Second, in a way, he's right. The Jets did not beat the Pats at their best and this win by no means means a changing of the guard in the division. In fact, the way the Jets let this Cassel-led team back into this game was somewhat embarrasing. I thought I was reliving the fake spike game all over again. So let's be happy with the win, but not get too excited. All it means is that the Jets are in first place after 10 games. We can brag in 6 weeks if they hold on to it. I've seen too many Jet teams in this exact same position only to be disappointed when January rolls around. Check out 1984, 1985, 1986, 1993, 1994, 1997, and 2000. I know this a different Jet team, but let's finish out the season and see the Jets win the division before we fans start to crow. And who cares whether the writers give the Jets "respect." Respect means nothing on the field. All that matters is a team's record.
Would have liked to seen Tony G go to a team like the Jets, I think you guys have a shot. #4 to #88, could have been sweet.
Of course you will Mr. Goodman. Use all the excuses you want. Because if the Jets would've lost this game with Cassel as QB, you would've said "Belechick is a geniuos once again." Give me a break. It's the Jets of course these idiots will use excuses not to give them credit. If they do go all the way to the big game, I hope you will get a bitch slapping.
