http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=207187&cl=10619791&ch=243724&src=sports Yahoo analyst Charles Robinson breaks down the Jets so far this season. A decent watch if you have 5 mins to kill.
I'm not sure on that. They have a solid running game, a solid defense, and a play it safe passing attack. Add to taht a very soft schedule and they will be around. Who they have left to play: Oakland New england @ St. Louis @ Buffalo San Fran @KC @Jets I see no reason they will not be in the hunt unless they shoot themselves in the foot several times.
I hate it when reporters say remove a game. What the hell is that supposed to mean? That has to be the worst argument ever.
No Doubt. "take away that superbowl win and Eli Manning is still Just another QB who has never won the big one" Yep, great argument there.
You don't have to go as far as reporters. Some people right here on this board have tried to 'remove games' to prove the point that we really aren't a top 10 team in the league scoring a lot of points this year.
I did like that they commented that with chad, the jets are most likely a .500 team, and while Favre's numbers are not startling, he has brought a winning aura around the team. I've been saying that all along. All these "we won despite brett", you need to ask yourself what has brett done for this running game. What has he done for the defense when they know at any time, the jets are going to put points on the board. Turnovers aside: Brett brought a severe winning attitude with him. The man came out of retirement, and he didn't do so to watching from home when the playoffs role around. It's already starting to creep into packer nation that you know what: THe packers would be better this year with Favre, and we would be in the playoffs... and giving up a shot to be in the playoffs to develope AR may not have been a smart move. Some even question the big contract he got. If AR keeps playing hte way he has the past couple games, thge packers made a big mistake.
idk about that, favre was terrible in the cold nfc championship last year and he is so old, the weather may affect him more now than in the past.
^tru, but he was great the week before against Seattle in the snow...and that same Giants defense that he faced made Tom Brady look mortal
I disagree. I'm a little surprised by how many people are taking the Dolphins seriously as a threat to win the AFC east. First of all , they haven't lost to a team yet that they "should beat". Every team has one of those and they will have one before the season is over. Two games where I think this is a distinct possibility is either @St. Louis or @KC. Secondly, I just don't see them beating the Jets in the meadowlands in week 17. That means the Dolphins would have to win two more games than the jets do the rest of the way. Their easy schedule may give them a 1 game advantage from here on out. But due to the fact that I think they are going to lose one game to a bad team that people will expect them to beat, I don't see them being two games better in the last 7 games.
