for season.. Thomas New England's win over Buffalo Sunday came with a significant loss. Linebacker Adalius Thomas, who has started all nine games for the Patriots and is tied for the team lead with five sacks, suffered a broken left forearm in the first half of the Patriots 20-10 win, according to sources. The sources believe the injury is likely season ending. "It's not good. He's probably done [for the season]," said one source. New England is 6-3 and tied for first place in the AFC East despite a season-ending injuries to quarterback Tom Brady, safety Rodney Harrison, and running back Laurence Maroney as well as the absence of running backs Sammy Morris and LaMont Jordan. yeah just saw on espn news -- amazing how injuries have not caught up with this team yet. We need to be able to run the ball on thursday and stop the run...all comes down to the guys upfront! 1st place is ours to take!!!
injuries piling up for the pats. best news yet is its in the LB corps. it's old enough already, so lets remove the one guy who has still has speed and is a vet leader. (Mayo has speed but is still very inexperienced) with Harrison out, the team will be down two leaders, and it's only two that are left (Bruschi, Vrable) are up there and starting to hit the down side of their careers, can you say Hello Dustin Keller? Crossing routes with those two trying to cover him? could be a big day for DK again on Thursday.
Run at his side of the D all day long... i really want the Jets to take the heart out of this team tomorrow... kick them when they are down, step on them, bleed em out even more. Make the statement that the Jets are not to be fucked with. Thats all I wanted all year and now they have a shot. hurt this team emotionally on thursday. I want BB to run to the tunnel like a bitch the way he did after the SB loss.
Callahan is doing a great job coaching up our OL. The Jets rushing attack has never been this explosive, as long as I can remember. I think we can try to play ball control against the Pats to some degree, run it down their throats. They've been gashed up by much lesser teams than us.
This game is going to be so intense. Although they have some key injuries on both sides of the ball you just know this game is going to be a hard fought battle. I just hope we can play some error free ball, as long as we don't have several turnovers we should be able to win this one.
We are going to be putting much better talent on the field. If we don't win I will bleed darkness for a month.
What I meant was coaching staff darkness. Minus Brady and others we now put much better talent on the field. If we lose we got outcoached.
Me, I hate the fact that Brady, Thomas , Harrison are out. I want the 16-0 Pats. That way the Fag Nation up there won't have an excuse. We'll destroy them this week (as long as Mangargle doesn't over think it) but they'll still say it.... "...You didn't knock me down Ray...You didn't knock me down..."
Not really. Harris wasn't there yesterday and our LBs still kicked ass. No doubt Mangini has gotten wind of Adalius' injury and is adjusting as we speak. This is great news. Now we need to find a way to absolutely cripple Wes Welker in the 1st quarter. I mean, I want Calvin Pace to decapitate this guy. The slippery little weasel likes to dive low after the catch and avoid contact. I want Pace to find him, go low also, and take him out completely. God, I absolutely hate that little weasel.
