i had a feeling he would go there , closest team near virginia where he's from and they need another corner cause Shawn Springs is gettin up there in age.
Good signing if he works in their defense, I guess being a freeancer zone guy he really got away from instinct football in the game of chase with the Raiders.
If all Hall wants to do is ballhawk, why not make him a free safety? If he does get switched and becomes a star FS then old man Davis is going to burst a vein.
Especially since Huff, the 7th overall pick in the '06, has been benched. Man it must suck to the be the Raiders...'06 was as loaded a draft you can ask for...
I have a feeling he will do really well under Zorn. Zorn will keep him under control and he'll flourish with that secondary around him. Rand Moss effect all over again. But I still think he is slightly overrated.
Look at the guys the Raiders passed up on in the first in 2006. Any of these guys would have been a huge upgrade to Huff: 8 S Donte Whitner Buffalo Bills 9 OLB Ernie Sims Detroit Lions 11 QB Jay Cutler Denver Broncos 12 DT Haloti Ngata Baltimore Ravens 19 CB Antonio Cromartie San Diego Chargers 25 WR Santonio Holmes Pittsburgh Steelers 27 RB DeAngelo Williams Carolina Panthers 29 C Nick Mangold New York Jets 30 RB Joseph Addai Indianapolis Colts 32 DE Mathias Kiwanuka New York Giants
Huff is talented i dont think any can succeed in oakland unless ur name is Nnamdi Asomugha, i think Huff will probably get cut , he can probably play free safety in another system though
If huff gets cut I'd love to see the jets grab him and put him as a SS. I think Him and Rhodes would be a nasty duo.
I called my buddy earlier today to let him know that his precious Skins had won the Deangelo Hall sweepstakes. He was ecstatic. Apparently, they may be the 7th ranked pass defense, but it's not because of the play of Leigh Torrance.
Hell yea. I'd expect Mangini to jump on him unless we filled the other safety slot somehow. There'd be alot of teams looking to get alot of Raiders players if they decided to purge the roster.
ProFootballTalk cites a Keith Brooking radio interview on 680 The Fan in Atlanta that claims DeAngelo Hall tried to provoke a fight with a Falcon at halftime of last week's game in Oakland. Brooking said that Hall was waiting in the tunnel to pick a fight, at which point the Falcon linebacker considered himself lucky to be removed "from all that mess." That "mess" would be Hall and his poisonous attitude, which apparently has a long way to go. There's been no indication that the incident led directly or even indirectly to Hall's Oakland release, but it's not like the Redskins can claim they didn't know what they were getting themselves into upon signing Hall.
