http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/pgStory?contentId=8757892&MSNHPHMA#sport=NFL&photo=8757228 There are so many people that I don't believe should be on this list. A Jenkins mention would be nice too.
My vote goes to Kurt Warner. He is unreal. (and has been since arriving in AZ but they never give him a chance!) Also, why shouldn't Rogers be on that list? He has earned it in every way imo. Just because they have 4 losses (all because of their D) that doesn't mean AR doesn't deserve some major credit.
jacobs shouldm't be there and c johnson shouldn't be there.jenkins should be mentioned for sure he;s having just as good a season as haynesworth.
yeah nice job fox with putting the wrong pic up for turner. Turner should not be on that list. Ryan and White make that team go. Turner beats up heavily on bad teams and really is at best average against good teams. Chris Johnson ABSOLUTELY belongs on that list. He's a gamechanger and they've won at least 2 games solely because of him. Jake Delhomme?? No way. You don't give an MVP to "presence". That's nonsense. He hasn't done anything worthy of being called an MVP candidate, let alone the 3rd guy on that list. Jenkins has kept the Jets at the top of the standings. Without him we'd have lost a couple more games. He deserves a mention. As does Asomougha. How is he not on that list? The guy's been thrown at like 10 times this season! That's like once a game. I don't care how bad the team is, a player that good keeps his team in games. I'd also like a nod for Revis to be honest with you, but he's not getting the respect he deserves either.
I we are defining MVP as player who is on a team that is doing well this season and, without that person, that team would not be doing well, then the award has to go to either Kurt Warner or Matt Ryan.
bryant westbrook, that team is COMPLETELY different with him in the lineup, i think he missed 2 games this year and both were losses. i cant piss and moan about del homme his team is playing well with a very good record and he leads that team. portis really doesnt do very much for me, he should be on the list due to his rushing stats but definitely not at the top. brandon jacobs is a very nice player however not an mvp candidate. how about drew brees getting a little closer to the top? i would like to see jenkins but most underestimate the importance of his position, and its not a big highlight reel position.
Holy crap, I just now realized the Panthers are 7-2 and hold the 3rd best record in the NFL. They sorta flew under my radar all season long. I haven't really been paying much attention lately.
Jake Delhomme?! Seriously? 77 passer rating?! He's not even the MVP of his team! And as for Aaron Rodgers... does anybody else think the media is sucking this guy off just a bit too much? I kinda equate his performance this year to Sarah Palin's VP debate. It's like "Well, since we expected you to take the stage, vomit, cry and run out of the room screaming, and you didn't do that, YOU DID REALLY WELL!!!" That's a bit of hyperbole, but you know what? A couple year's back, I remember a quarterback TEARING UP THE LEAGUE in the first half of the season in the NFC North. Every station in the country was like, "Oh we GOTTA mention this guy for MVP, how could we not?" Rex Grossman.
This may fly like a lead balloon but... Id have to put Penny in the top 10 Most VALUABLE players in the NFL. The Dolphins 'd' is ranked 18th The rushing attack is ranked 20th. Their passing attack is ranked 7th!!! Without Pennington the Phins are a laughing stock again this year. With him they are 5-4 with the soft part of their schedule to come.
