There's a 10 to 15 second commercial at the beginning of each pick.

They are up to New Orleans so far.

"NFL.com has gathered writers from around the country to play GM for a day for the NFL team that they cover on a daily basis. Each writer will be "on the clock" to select their first-round pick.

Five new picks will be revealed each week leading up to the draft, with the final unveiling occurring in the week leading up to the NFL Draft on April 26-27"

For the Jets, Tom Rock picked QB Matt Ryan from Boston College.

I think Tom is smokin' rock! Of all of the draft possibilities, I find this choice the least likely. But what the hell do I know...

This pick would make me puke. So we pass on Gholston (who then goes to the Pats with the next pick) for a QB who would be the lowest rated first QB taken in a few years. I'd rather take almost any other position. QB is always a crap shoot, this guy is an even bigger one. I would rather take a chance on an OL or a CB. Gholston is the easy choice in this scenario.

If Matt Ryan is drafted I will bury myself in a bottle and try to forget draft day... this will only create ever more questions in the clubhouse about who will be the leader of the offense. We need defense with out 1st IMO

Honestly, if Gholston, Mcfadden and both Longs are gone, I could see the logic behind picking Matt Ryan. But passing on Gholston??? WTF???? You could even justify taking Gholston there just so the Pats wont get him.

if gholston is there he will be the pick. then gholston harris and pace will all be linebackers of the new york jets. then i cant wait to see the first offense to play against us.

If we take Matt Ryan over Gholston I will absolutely break something in my house.

The only possible way, I can see, that they would take Ryan over Gholston is if Gohlston were in jail or in a box or if they already had a deal in place before the pick to trade Pennington or Clemens.

It depends how they feel about Ryan, if they feel he can be the franchise QB that this team desperately needs than it is a no brainer.

You dont pass on a franchise QB when you dont have one, especially for a player that isnt ideally suited for the typoe of D we run.

    Matt Ryan?

Thank goodness that guy isn't our GM...I have no idea why sportswriters push the beliefs that QBs are magical beings that can change everything for a franchise...because fans believe it and weak minded coaches try to buy into it.

The Jets don't have that luxury to pick a QB at the 6 th spot when they have some holes still on the team. ou take a Ryan when your roster is pretty much set. We need another inside linebacker, a corner, a safety, maybe 2 WR and RB.

It can go either way. There are guys like Matt Ryan and Ben Roethlisberger that do come in and win and then guys like David Carr, Joey Harrington, and JaMarcus Russell that don't.

Teams just have the find the right QB.

    ^^^ Douchebag there.

    Ha haaaa.

BTW: Look at my sig. *Thats* a moronic post. Also, nice use of hindsight. Go play somewhere dude. If you want, start a thread about me and list all my moronic posts in it...make it like your own private room and shit...I'm not sure anyone gives a shit enough to see you bump a 6+ month old thread to feel like you "got me."

Nice to see Ryan proving me wrong...lesson learned there.

You do not know how to read.

EDIT: Not only do you not know how to correctly interpret posts, but you went ahead and added yesterday's stats to your totals in your sig. It's laughable because my comment was based on action that had occurred through 8 weeks. I update my rankings each week and with Calvin Johnson having his best game yesterday it is going to bump him up on my list for what that is worth (actually it seems to be whole a heck of a lot what with you being so very concerned with me and my thoughts on the game of football). Furthermore, you know I already had him in my top 15. You are ridiculous, JLfDW. Absolutely ridiculous.

    It's not a low blow.
This poster had it coming to him.

Go look at the Revis vs Evans thread in the Jets forum. I made football comments and I was civil. I then got attacked by JetsLookingforDWare.
