I think it would be great if we got another solid, proven Green Bay guy on the team. Not only is he a great player but he would make Brett feel more at home in the City. Thoughts?
Ask yourself some questions. 1. Where would KGB play in a 3-4? 2. Why would GB cut him at this point of the season? 3. Who would he replace? 4. What cap room would be used to sign him? 5. Is making Brett Favre fractionally more at home a legitimate reason to bring in a player? And are KGB and Brett even friends?
Good post, why is it every time a player from another team gets cut there is a thread asking if we should pick him up? Regardless of how little sense it would make.
Speaking as someone whose seen quite possibly every game he's played his nine years in the league: no. He's underperformed ever since he got a big contract (a few years back now). The Packers pretty much had been reduced to playing him only on 3rd & long passing situations, not much else.
Have to approach with caution when a guy gets released during the season. Why do we need him anyway? Our front 7 is the least of our worries right now.
Not sure if Brett and KGB were as good of friends as Favre was with guys like Driver but i'm sure they got along gret. KGB is an absolute class act. Great man on and off the field. But no, the Jets shouldn't sign KGB unless he's dirt cheap and they really need another body. Knee troubles have slowed him down and because KGB is lacking in size, he has always relied heavily on his speed to be an effective pass rusher.
