I read on thejetsblog.com that Harris had an MRI yesterday. They didn't say what the results were. It doesn't sound like there's much of a chance to see him playing Sunday.

No Harris = big trouble. David Bowens is such a drop off.

Time for big Vern to learn a new position and make an impact in the next five days.

Harris, that's not good. Too bad we didn't draft a LB with that #6 overall pick.

If Harris it out for a while that's going to be killer against the run and also will make out middle of the field passing defense even worse.

I'd actually prefer moving Calvin Pace inside & then rotating David Bowens & Vernon Gholston outside.
Hell, we have to find someway to get Gholston in the game to get even the slightest idea of what we have.
My gut tells me thought that Cody Spencer will be getting most of the snaps at ILB.

i think one of the most interesting pieces of that article is that the jets had to pass more because Baker was out, and they couldn't run certain formations which would've allowed them to run more

I don't see that as a good excuse for not running. They replaced him with a backup o-lineman that Mangini said has practiced at TE. We should have been able to run with him in the game.

Considering he hasn't been able to pick up OLB so quickly, I gonna go out on a limb here and say that Mangini doesn't take your adivce and have a struggling rookie learn a new position mid-season.

I'd like to see Pace move inside. While he helps provide the pass rush on the outside, the Jets pass defense is still garbage despite piling up a bunch of sacks, so might as well keep the run defense strong.

it's time for Gholston to start earning that fucking pay cheque.....i'm tired of hearing how far he's behind in his development, and that he missed valuable time leading up to Training Camp.....it's now week 9.....throw that mofo to the wolves and lets see what he can do!

i agree with that. i am sure an OL is a better blocker then baker anyway. mangini is clueless. and his responses are even worse

Don’t panic – ManNumbNuts will let us know what’s going on with Harris at his next press conference. No sense in speculating before that.

At least the injuries aren't as bad as they were in years past!

What has Harris done to make himself stand out lately? I think he himself has been a drop-off this season.

Harris is a force out there. When he went out last week the Chiefs attacked the spot where he was and had a lot of success.

in terms of personnel that would be awesome but do we really think the guys can just adapt to that in 5 days?

After reading some of your post the idea of VG at middle is a possibility but he's a DE and now learning OLB then play Middle ? Dont think so but maybe Bowens at MLB. He's a true OLB/DE but he's a vet who is game for anything. He'll probally be our pick at MLB untill Hitman comes back.
