Titans Next 4 Games: Packers Bears Jaguars Jets Jaws: "Those next 3 games are difficult ones." Oh well.
And Jacksonville just lost to the freaking Browns at home. Jets are far from a great team right now, but I dont see how any of those teams are any better
Don't forget our tight last second loss on national TV to the Chargers! That game coulda gone either way!
Yeh you're right. I think it's a fair call considering the way we've played the last 2 weeks but it is indeed a week to week league. I think we might be better than Jaxonville...but If I'm the Titans as of right now - away at Jaxonville is more of a worry than home to the Jets.
I thought it was odd to say since all 4 games were on the screen and none of those teams are far better than the Jets. Sure, the Jets played bad the last 3 weeks, but they won two of those games and the one they lost was in overtime. Not trying to make excuses.
Exactly. Yes, better teams will win more than lose, but it is becoming pretty clear that there is a lot of parity in the league right now.
OMG I am now going to hire a mob hitman to wack Jaws, the nerve to dismiss the mediocrity of the Jets.................................. The f-ing nerve.
If you look at every game every week, sure you might find a fluke or two, but if you look at it over the course of the season, teams distinguish themselves and don't lose to lesser teams often at all. It's the crappy mediocre teams that are weak to weak, the actual good teams lose maybe once a month. There's a huge difference between losing once a month and losing every other week. At the end of the year, the Chiefs, Raiders, Lions and Bengals will all be bottom feeders. We're not sure who the best teams in the league are going to be, but it's looking more and more like the Giants, Steelers, Titans, Redskins, Panthers and Bills are going to have double digit wins. That's a far cry from "week to week" and "can lose to anybody." Maybe you lose to one or two teams during the year that you should beat, but that's not saying much. Some sports writers made parity a buzz word and now people want to throw it out every chance they get. The good teams generally stay good for years barring serious injuries, and the bad teams stay bad. The thing is with good coaching and drafting you can make a quick turnaround and get a decent year, but then if you don't build right you just can't sustain that (for instance the bengals and browns). If you do things correctly though, you're a contender virtually every year (Steelers, Patriots, Colts, Chargers). Sure you still might have a down year in a stretch like the Colts and Chargers, but I'd trade that one down year for our disaster every other year alternated with mediocre years.
Ya know, on the bright side...the Jets always tend to do far better as the underdogs. Maybe this is a good thing. Our team has never handled expectations, or success, very well.
