The last game wasn't close, and before that it was 3-2 when really 2 of those 5 games were HANDED to Boston. The Mavs lsot to the Heat in 06 in 6 games also, and guess who was the better team? Dallas. The reason hoops complain about FT differential is cause it's the easiest way to rig a game. You give 1 team 20 more attempts than the other and you send 80% guys to the line, you're giving that team ~16 points. Pretty similar to baseball strike zones
