How many times would we have seen the Jets settle for a FG on that final drive with 1 minute left with Chad Pennington at QB. I know Favre played badly but lets be fair. The Jets 90% of the time dont score a TD on that final drive with Chad at QB. They settle for the FG and OT. Not saying they would have lost the game but just something I picked up.

Now you could make the case that Chad wouldnt have thrown the pick 6 but thats an argument for another time.

Please stop. You say the pick six has nothing to do with the other?

If you don't throw the pick six, you don't need the late drive.

In this case, they are intertwined.

And don't we have a million QB threads going already?

I just keep on hearing that this team is coming together better every week.
Boy, I hate to see this team if they weren't coming together.

Actually, the one thing that I've noticed is that we are starting to string together longer (7+ plays) drives than we did earlier in the season. Until recently, we'd get one big play and then nothing. I know I'm reaching but, it is a step in the right direction. Now if only we could get Favre to stop making rookie mistakes, protect the ball, and stop throwing those inexcusable INT's.

If it was pennington the best that would of happened would of been a FG attemp that would of probally hit off the pole and missed... Atleast Favre brought us back from the dead. I mean he did kill us but revived us in time for that W. Ugly but ill take it.

settling for 3 is not always bad - if we did that against the raiders and chiefs we would have kicked a game winning field goal in oakland and not had to have a last minute comeback against the chiefs

clean football wins games - favre needs to be clean and throw the ball away or take a sack sometimes

That was also a pretty sick TD catch.

    Guys..

The problem isn't who is playing QB. It's the coaching staff catering to Favre and trying to revolve the offense around him. Well, he's not good enough for that anymore. He's 39, not 29, and he's only been with the team now for 2 whole months. The Jets spent an entire offseason building the offense to be a running team, and we trade for Favre and now we're changing the offense to suit him. I am tired of it. Use Jones and Washington and let Favre play off them, not vise versa.
