I love this site... Jet fans who love the Jets (Win or Lose) But @ the same time...I just feel that we have a site full of fans who are depressed in life and take their anger and emotions out with each and every post, it's like... Nothing is good enough for SOME Jet fans around here. I'm @ the point where I really dont even bother reading threads anymore because I already know that Jet fans are going to be going INSANE for the simple fact we played and won a close game against a "Horrid" Chiefs team. So what? A win is a win and you know what? The Jets are now @ 4-3 and only one game behind the Pats and Bills for the AFC East Crown. Yeah...I understand that Favre could have played a better game, I understand that Mangini could have coached a better game...I understand that games are not always PERFECT...But I also understand that the Jets just won a tough game, Leon Washington played like a warrior and the Jets 3-4 Defense keeps on keeping this Jets team in games and you know what? Defense Wins Championships and I feel the Jets have one of the best overall D's in the league...It's just a matter of time before these guys start to dominate. 4-3... Bills next week... Lets go make this playoff run happen...A win is a win and you know what? As a Die hard Jets fan... I'll take it all day and twice on Sundays and you know what? I really loved the heart this Jets team showed today...They won the game when it counted! Favre and Coles made the play of the week if you ask me. I may get bashed for making this thread...But you know what? I could care less. The Jets just won, the Rays are playing tonight with a chance to win and overall...I'm drunk, full, pumped up and enjoying my day off. We WON THE GAME JET FANS...Go enjoy the rest of your Sunday and look foward for the AFC Rival game next week. :jets: Honestly... (I) Just think that the negativity (After a Jets win) is silly...
Enjoy the Green Kool-Aid for as long as you can. Sooner or later the Jets will drive you to madness as well. I'll be happy when we win a Super Bowl in my lifetime.
I'm 23...Born into a die hard Jets family in Queens and you know what? I've seen sooooooo many horrid seasons where I can actually enjoy a tough win. We gotta make the playoffs before we win the Super Bowl...Maybe, Just maybe we wont miss two FG's like we did against the Steelers. Maybe...Just maybe Favre can lead this team to the promise land because this man never misses a start and I respect that each and everytime I think of the year when we played Chad Pennington, Jay Fielder, Vinny T, Brooks Bollinger and Kliff Kingsbury or whatever his name is... That was worse than 99 when we lost Vinny on the opening drive where Tom freaking Tupa threw a TD pass the next drive. We have a Defense We have a warrior as a QB And we have a winning team here in 2008
Look. I've wanted one thing and one thing only from Mangini and Co. That is a well-coached, a competitive game till the end. This game? It's not competitive. It's sloppy. Game planning blows, and execution sucks. This team beats lesser team by the sheer discrepancy of natural talents, nothing else. This coaching staff is a disgrace, and I'm being very generous in my assessment. *Disgrace doesn't quite qualify to describe their ineptitude.*
Same here. The defense held their own for the most part. The offensive playcalling, however, was bad once again. 3rd and 1 when we really needed to convert, and Favre goes and bombs it out? Really? Favre himself obviously had an ugly game. The two TDs were nice, but the 3 interceptions were not. The int. that went for pick-6 was basically thrown directly to him. It's good to be over .500 on the season, but we still have problems that need to be fixed, and fixed asap.
I wont tear your post apart, as what your trying to get at is right on. (what I meant to say is, I completely disagree on the defense, but wont go there) Alas: WHEN HAS WINNING NOT BEEN ENOUGH? Last I checked, that is what jets fans wanted right? To win? Well stop complaining then how it happens. A win is a win, as was said.
This time next week we will really know where we are. You are right, nothing wrong with enjoying a win. It's better than suffering a loss. I think the point is though that winning by playing at the level of bottom feeders does not give anyone the confidence that we have a chance in Buffalo.
Hey...The Jets beat the Dolphins and the Dolphins just beat the Bills. Anything can happen and I love our chances because our Run D will be all over M.Lynch. If we can win the battle of the trenches, we WILL win next week.
my thoughts exactly we can go and beat buffalo but everyone, and I mean everyone has to step there game up
I'm all for this thread...I cant even go to this site after losses which sucks because that takes a lot of my internet surfing time during my work week. Like everyone I renounced my fanhood in the fourth quarter only to have tapered excitement after the game. Let's just enjoy the victories when we get them because who knows how many there will be.
Thats because I didn't spend anytime on this site b4 I made this thread... I just knew people would be crying over this victory.
fuck...did you take 5 mins away from having your head in the clouds to watch any of the Jets game today??!!...We BARELY scraped by!! A fourth quarter comeback was needed against one of the worst teams in the NFL...and they benched their BEST PLAYER to boot!! Anything less than a 21-0 win for the Jets should be heavily scrutinized...how the hell did a 3rd string nobody score 24 points on us??!! What do you think is gonna happen next week when we play a team that knows how to "call plays"??!!.....c'mon you guys, open your eyes!
