Can't believe it has come to this but I for one feel that it is a must win game. True if we lose it wont be the end of the season . But man o man would that be a let down. First losing to a bad team who is banged up. But second losing to Herm...I can't even go there. I do know I will have to start drinking an hour before the game cause I am already nervous and its the night before. Oh well guess thats part of bein a Jet fan. Anybody else think its a must win???
Whats with all this must-win talk? Every game should be considered must-win. As for the Chiefs game, its more of a No excuse for a loss game. Favre could go down, Clemens could go down and Ratliff would still be able to beat the Chiefs. Jesse Chatman could run all over the Chiefs. Kris Jenkins could be out and Devito/Pouha dominate the game. They could have 3 fluke touchdowns and the Jets could still pull it out. Stuckey and Keller could easily have 100 yards a piece if Coles and Cotchery are OUT. Gholston could get 5 sacks if he started the entire game. ETC.
Get the fuck outta here bro we aint that good of a team. If Just JENKINS is out our defense is gonna be walking around with there finger in there ass. WHAT HAPPENED !!?
It's as close to a must win as you get at this point of the season. There are some tough games coming up and if the Jets want to make any kind of push to the postseaons, you have to win the games you are supposed to win. That is why last week hurt, but it seems like the cross-country trips are killing the Jets.
The Jets are going to win this mutha fuckin' game. Who goes into a game thinking they are going to lose! Even the crappiest of the crappiest go into games thinking they can win. Fuck the cheifs! Fuck herm the squirm! J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
I have this weird feeling if the Jets start winning and put themselves in contention for a playoff spot, we'll be seeing at least three of these threads a week. I don't like that feeling.
We get to the playoffs they are all musts and I will feel just like I am today, Nervous.Yes we should win. I guess worrying comes with the territory when you are a Jet fan. Hence the blood pressure meds I will be taking before the game and the beers I will be using for sedation during the game
In answer to the original post, how about this: it's as much of a must-win game as the 7th game of the season can be. As to the above point, it's not only the Jets. Teams are 3-15 this year in games where they travelled across the country.
Your not kidding, I got news for everyone...we're losing to the Chiefs, Bills and Rams in the next 3 weeks..
anyone who says this isnt is in denial. yes we lose to the chiefs but were supposed to win the games afterwards in which every team we will be playing will be better than the chiefs. yes, must win. last week was a must win to prove this team is for real. so yeah jury is still out.
If this isn't a must win I don't know what is. You are facing quite possibly the worst team in the NFL, they are banged up badly, and their head coach is a backstabbing prick. You need to win this game to prove to Herm that he is an asshole who went from"GREEN"er pastures to a bloody mess in KC. The whole team needs to man up and grow a set to dispell this "The Jets go as Favre goes" myth. We need to prove that we can win despite the jackass pics thrown by our QB. The playoffs are still in reach, but this is a must win to prove that we aren't a bunch of chumps that only show up half the time. In short we need to DOMINATE!!!!!!!!
Well we're in a lot of trouble then since we have two more such trips. Normally the 7th game of the year isn't a must win and 3-4 by itself isn't a death knell, but let's be realistic. If this team can't beat the Raiders or the Chiefs, who are they gonna beat when the schedule gets tougher?
Isn't the whole point to win as many games as possible? Wouldn't that make *every* game a "must win?" No?
