For me, this is the first week that I can't get the game on TV and I am not going to pay for Sunday ticket to get one game.....so I will have to rely on a steam. Have they been good? I have "watched" a few other games via online streams this year while I have the Jets game on and oftentimes they are horrible....grainy and choppy... Is there a go-to Jets stream?
meh, not that good. Most streamers changed to JustinTV and that just sucks. It seems that JustinTV can´t handle that much viewers. I changed the the stream about 5 times last week, i saw maybe half the game. But most of the time, you find a decent, even if you gotta look for some time. Jets n Boys had a good one up for 2 games, but that would cost about 500,- per month to keep running, which is basicly impossible to finace by donations. But thanks again for your efford, Jets n Boys
i have sirius radio, buit only in my car....stupidly i thought it would be a good idea to buy the sirius model that goes under the dashboard and give my old one to my dad....and now, when they jets aren;t on TV, I either have to stream of sit in the car....
They suck IMO. I've tried wathing when my Satalite was out and I could not handle the choppy ness of it.
I wouldn't mind putting up the stream again but I certainly wouldn't want to pay out of my pocket for helping others get a decent reliable stream. I thought about putting up mandatory donation of like $5 a piece each game and providing them individual link as they donate. That way, I should be able to get maybe around 30 people to get it and have like $150 a wk to cover the almost $500/month charges. If there's money left over, I can always put in a few free games, of course. Any suggestions on that one? Do you guys think its a good idea to do so? However, I am out of town for tomorrows game and wont be able to stream. I can rent the server next wk and start doing this from next game onwards. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Let me know please.
www.streamtvnow.com has got decent streams for about $20 for the rest of the season. It's cheap and guaranteed, but the quality is not much better than Justintv. Cool thing is that they have all the games available in most sports. They even have a porn channel.
Dude, we appreciate what you tried to do, but at that cost you are never going to get yer dough back. Thanks for trying though.
Some are good, some not so great. Ususally a little into the game someone here finds a good one and posts it. I am just thankful to get to see the game.
At the end of the day, Im still getting to watch the games, so I really don't care much about it. I know $5 is high, but I've already lost about $200 for the two games I had streamed earlier and don't wanna do it again for free. If people here disagree with the price, then I guess I'll call it a quit, rather than taking any risk and tension, sending out links, and putting in the effort.
So uh... which streams are free/illegal/whatever? I'm getting the Bills game here tomorrow and I'm not enthused enough about this team to go out to a bar/restaurant to watch it.
Psh, go to the game, or go to a sports bar, losers. No streams are that good. Some are decent, but even those usually fall off eventually.
I'm on a mac and if I try hard enough I can sort of get tvants and sopcast to work under Darwine, which emulates the Win32 APIs. But its not really worth the effort, I mostly watch justin.tv, which I consider to be a form of augmented radio. Tiny screen, you can enlarge it by pushing a button somewhere, but the resolution doesn't change. Like radio, if you don't like the announcers you prolly won't enjoy the game. Some of the justin.tv streams average 120 KB per sec, for those I have to leech off of the neighbors wireless connection, but most streams fit into my 90K dsl connection.
If I was at home I'd definitely be going to the game. But I can't stand to spend $20 to watch the game on a tv somewhere else, especially on such an underwhelming team.
There's a British pub near me that has the Sunday ticket and shows "football" until about noon....they will usually put on ay game I want, but by the end of the game I have spent 30 bucks on beer....and for the Chiefs it is just not worth it
Do links to streams always get posted in the forum? Because this is the first game I need to do this for, I haven't been on the lookout for those threads.
I don?t think this will work. If you take 5 bucks a game, you will have 5 viewers at best every week. It?s impossible to get 500,- a month back. The only sollution would be a free program like Sopcast or TVAnts. yeah, but most streams are from there, so you can also look yourself: http://www.myp2p.eu/competition.php...rts&discipline=americanfootball&allowedDays=1
