So Utley hit a homer to RF in his first WS game and now he hits a homer to RF in his first WS home game.
Moyer would've been the oldest SP to win a WS game had he gotten the win. And sci, you might be right. In any case, Bruntlett's slide was pathetic and the throw was worse. Eva better work on his underhanded tosses.
This is the boringest(word? ) World Series in a long long time. There are no real stories, no drama, no superstars, nothing. It's full of exciting young guys with potential to become superstars, but when Ryan Howard is the marque player, you're in trouble.
A Red Sux fan rooting for the Phillies over the Tampa Bay "Devil" Rays during the World Series here in 2008? Priceless All of that "Red Sox experience in October" meant nothing and you know why? Because they were up against a better OVERALL team...A much better overall team and you know what? You can NEVER...Ever...EVER, EVER, EVER...Say that the Rays "Lack postseason experience" Lets go Sonnanstine, lets tie this series up @ 2
Awww...A jealous fan? Crawford=Future Hall of Famer (Wouldn't expect you to know that though) Longoria=American League Rookie Of the Year Upton= How bout them 7 HR's during October? Kazmir, Shields, Garza, David Price...These will be house-hold names before you know it, All 4 of those starting pitchers has the talent to be the Ace of just about any rotation in the league. But your the type of fan who knows nothing until it actually happens. What about Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley? No superstars? lol...Are you kidding me? Have you even followed baseball over the years? "There are no real stories"? Sorry...I guess you believe Baseball is won with insane payroll intead of talent.
Jimmy Rollins and Chase fucking Utley? Are you serious? Did you even read my post? I said, "exciting youngs guys with potential to be superstars". All you did with that post was agree with me. Crawford is FAR from a future hall of famer. He is a 2-time all star with 1000 hits and 250stolen bases. Impressive? Yes. Hall of Famer caliber? Hell no. Upton? 7 HR during the post season, fantastic! Too bad none of those have come in the most important games, the World Series. When you can provide actual arguments and facts to mine, let me know.
Crawford not a future hall of famer? wow... Crawford is #2 alltime in stolen base %... He's one of the youngest players to EVER reach 1,000 base hits and you know what? He's one of the best defense left fielders to ever play the game. He's only what? 26-27 years of age? If not for an injury...Crawford is a lock for the HOF if I've ever seen one. The Rays and the Phillies both play good baseball...I could give a shit about "Superstar names" How many World Series rings does A.Rod have? I'm loving the fuck outta this world series and you know what? I have enjoyed just about every world series I've ever seen because I love the sport...It just so happens that my team is playing in it
You gotta win during the playoffs...Inorder to play in the World Series. Upton and Longoria hurt the Red Sox. Since when did the season start during the world series? Crawford-Upton-Longoria will be the heart of this Rays lineup for years to come. Pitching wins championships...And the Rays have JUST that.
Since when did the post season end with the ALCS? He could have hit 500 fucking home runs against the BoSox. Fact is, he is doing nothing against Philly. 1 RBI. Amazing. As for Crawford, you're looking at him thru Tampa colored glasses. He is a good fielder, but one of the best to ever play the game? How many Gold Gloves has he got? Who cares about ARod? Like I said, when the marque player is Ryan Howard, you are lacking in players to bring in the viewers. And you are sounding like the Rays have already lost this series. What happened? Reality hit you with a swift left?
