Its so stupid. Just say it like it is. This guy has this this guy has this.. blah blah... its like communism, you can't talk about your injuries...

Ok, if we were undefeated or whatever then sure I'd buy into it, but its clearly not giving us any competitive advantage to be super duper secretive about our players health.

He plays it close to the vest. I can't fault him for that.

Why does it matter? If they feel it's something better kept close to the vest for the sake of players health or competitive advantage or whateverthefuck it may be who cares? Why do we have to know?

I'm tired of losing way more than injury secrecy.

Because the fans knowing about the seriousness of a player's injury will help that player heal faster - right?

You're right, I miss the days of Herman Edwards telling the press everything there is to know about the daily operations of the team and the status of players' injuries.

And if they told us, Mangini and friends would just be compared to Herm and too willing to give out info.

Or he'd be telling us to set up excuses.

Basically, unless they win 10 Super Bowls...nothing they do will be right...ever. There will be spin.

Teams do have a responsibility to their fans to keep them informed. If it weren't for fans the clubs would not even exist. So I do find the secrecy to be a little ridiculous.

How much of a competitive advantage does it really give the Jets ? By NFL rule the team has to list players as "probable", "questionable", "doubtful" or "out" for each game. So why not tell the fans player X has a broken collar bone? It just doesn't make much sense.

And worse it makes Mangini look like he's paranoid and fearful.

How much does it affect your experience as a fan to know players exact injuries? Their responsibility to the fans is to win, and if they think doing this can help give them any competitive advantage what so ever they're increasing the chances of maintaining that responsibility.

Because then teams can gameplan in advance because they know the specific details of an injury. They can install plays weeks in advance that are player-specific to the opposing team's personnel. Weren't you the one predicting Clowney's injury would put him out for the season because it took so long to heal? I guess you were wrong, because they didn't tell the fool media the exact details of the injury, and now we have him back when we need him the most.

No, not at all. If this board figured out exactly what was wrong with the injured players we'd see a much higher rate of attempted suicides and admittance to mental institutions. The CS does not have a responsibility to keep us informed of player's health conditions. It's the NFL not the CIA, there doesn't need to be any oversight in this case.

Its starting to get to me. I am fan and follow this team closely and information, real football game day stuff, not the soap opera crap, is what I love. Our # 1 & 2 recevier are hurt, and I have no idea of their status for Sunday. I don't care whats wrong , I want to know if they are playing. Its bullshit. Its a huge game man, our season could be lost if we trip up and our best weapons might not be available and I no feeling for whats their status.

You can’t get on Mandoofis’s ass over this. I’m sure when he’s standing there in the press conferences – all those letters in a row making words, further strung into sentences look completely alien to a retard who can’t read. He’s doing the best he can to be informative – but what the hell do you make of this?

Hdhwsjoi joij oihaiwhvio joia enf wsd e,w jiop kk hgygyuudf uiij klk t rrf uiojo jkom mmio l

You look at it and say – “Uhhhhhmmmmm uhhh – yeah - ummmmh we’re taking it slow ummmh going to be a game time decision or maybe we’ll know tomorrow or next ummmm haaa week”
