    Wish I was.

I said, million times after the Chargers game, I'd start calling for their head if they do a putrid job of coaching. Remember. I wasn't angry then because Jets lost (yeah, a bit.) The coaching staff keeps forcing the team to play like a bunch of retards, and it's driving me nuts. Raiders game was the last straw. I'm fed up with their idiocy. I am not taking it any more. That's all there is to it.

I don't agree with Cimini's premise here. So, if Mangini pulled a "you want to crown their ass? Then crown em!" - like Dennis Green angry outburst, than Cimini would feel better about Mangini as a coach? The fact is, Rich, you don't know what Mangini's saying behind closed doors versus in a public press conferences. There have been plenty of even - keel, non emotional (to the public) coaches like Bellichick, Tom Landry, etc, etc who have had success. I don't think appearing angry and pissed off and making "heads are gonna roll" statements at a press conference would do one thing to make the Jets better...

You guys would want your coach proclaiming his regrets?

Regrets are for bitches...didn't anybody listen to Reasonable Doubt? Theres a whole song about it.

I agree with others that I don't care what Mangini is saying in the press conferences on Monday. However, when the team is not playing well on Sunday I'd like to see some fire out there on the sidelines. The NFL Films clips of Parcells and Lombardi are classic and if my team were playing crappy I'd rather have somebody get on the player's asses.

The players are making millions and when they are not living up to their percieved potential then they should hear it from the coach. We see little of that from Mangini (of course we don't everything that goes on during the game either).

WOW! I've been KILLED on this board for paying attention to the press conferences. But really--Jets fans, please tune in to this events after the games! They tell you a lot about why a team wins or loses.

The post game show begins IMMEDIATELY after the game on SNY. Check your local listings, etc.

Anyhow, OF COURSE I agree with critics of Mangini's style of (not) dealing with the local media. The guy is a total loser when it comes to this, which underlines his other failures as a head coach.

I know most people on this board tend to criticize Herm Edwards because he took over Bill Parcells' players (well, actually he took over Al Groh's disgruntled lot, and took them to the playoffs for a few years)... But really. Like I have said before? If Mangini is as bad a coach as I am afraid he might be? Jets fans will be looking back on the Herm Edwards regime as "The Golden Age of Jets Football."

It is a scary schedule we are looking at now... If the Jets lose two of three to the Chiefs, Rams and/or Bills?

    Scary.
