I tend to ignore the whole "must win" thing when a season is still in the first half (after all, the turnaround in 2002 convinced me that there's always hope) but I actually think I'm on board with this one. It's not that the Jets would be eliminated from contention, it would just say so much about a team to lose to the Raiders and Chiefs in consecutive weeks, I don't see how the Jets would bounce back after that. But I really can't see the Jets losing to the Chiefs.
Look at it this way, we beat them last year with Kellen Clemens playing in a game we were better off losing and 20 people in the stands. Since then the Chiefs have gotten worse and we've improved (we think), so we should have some hope this week.
You didn't hear me but you did read it right. We moved down three places in the draft by winning that final game. I was rooting for us to win, by the way. It did up Clemens' record as a starter to 3-5, rolling up 13 points in five quarters.
On the NFL Network after doing the highlights of that game: Rich Eisen: "So the Jets move down three slots in the draft, but they win." Deion Sanders: "So did they really win?"
The problem isn't with how good or bad the Jets are, it's with the Jet fans for the most part that don't understand how good or bad the Jets are. Each week there is a new extreme based on how the last game went, it's comical. The Fact is the Jets are one of about 25 teams that from week to week can win or lose to anyone else in the NFL, they aren't particularly good or bad.
I'm going to assume that because you have this fetish for "smileys"...that you are a rodeo clown by trade.
i didnt say you posted it every week. but someone posts how we need to win this game every week. its just obvious we need to win, you need to win every week in the nfl. thats all im saying.
