i have to disagree with you there, dude.....the Raiders committed a tonne of penalties.....they essentially were "handing us" the game...and we still mucked it up. Brian Schottenheimer should be beaten with a telephone book over this. The Titans don't beat teams like the Raiders...they shut them out. Look what they did to the Chiefs today....there's no way Jeff Fisher lets his team lay a fucking egg like Mangini did with the Jets today...no bloody way.
Lets put it this way. If the jets continue to play the way they did today, then they are truly screwed. If they turn it around, and learn how to beat REAL nfl teams, then there is hope. But I want to see some corrections first. They have to win in buffalo in 2 weeks.

I'll take it one step further, Rob....if the Jets LOSE to the Chiefs next week...not only is the season lost...Mangini gets his pink slip. If there's a god...i can't see it happening any other way if we lose next week.

OK, we lost to a previously winless team that committed FOURTEEN PENALTIES in one game. Happy now? We suck.
There's a world of difference between us and the Chargers the past few years. But even with the Chargers, people were down on them after 2 games, let alone 6...

I have just started reading the threads- are people blaming Bob Sutton and the D????:rofl: We lost b/c of mr. Favre not b/c of the D. The D held our opponent to 13 pts in 5 qtrs, our scored 10 in 5 qtrs when we had a RB run for over 150 yds. 3-3 is a terrible record especially since we lost to the Brady-lesss Pats and now the awful Raiders. You cannot give away games like this, now we are 2 games back behind Buffalo when we should be at worst a game back. The favre experiment is clearly not working and has now cost us 2 games- 2 games that we will probably need late in the year.
Totally agree. This is as disheartening as a loss can be. I think asking from any fan -let alone a Jet fan - to be calm and see in perspective is a bit too much right now.
The worst part for me is we played so poorly offensively last week against Cincy. You would think that would be a wake up call and they would have played much better at Oak but insetad the poor play carried over which obviously is a terrible sign.
My hand is on the panic button. If we lose to the chiefs and go into Buffalo at 3-4..will you still be optimistic?
One thing I will say about this team is that they have a lot of talent and I still beleive they will make the playoffs. One thing I do see that scares me and I will mention the draft because of it is that once Jenkins gets put on the bench, our run defense is immediately impacted. We need to draft a stud NT and have Jenkins and him swap out of put one on the DE position so he can move to DT when the one needs a rest and so on and so forth. Our secondary is learning and our linebackers are solid. I love my team and know that this year will be different
We will be done if we lose to the Chiefs, remember..we just lost to the Raiders and the Chiefs did win one game this year. So, lets say we win next week and we go into the Bills game at 4-3. The Bills are rocking everyone right now and we will be facing a must win to have any chance at the division and assuming the Bills beat the Dolphins next week they will have an almost insurmountable lead. Hope for a wild card is not over until you lose 7 or 8 games. so, 3-3 not really done,done.
