We know what he did eventually lead to Feelys game tying FG, but let's take a look in general.

Did Stuckey do the right thing by going for more yards instead of going out of bounds right after he picked up the 1st down, with the clock now still running with no timeouts?

I personally agreed with what Stuckey did. We needed to pick up more yards because who knows the outcome if he got out of bounds when he had the initial opportunity.

Well it is kind of a mute point. But he had a chance to get ten more yards and took it. It gave us a chance so i don't have a problem with it.

Someone should make a youtube clip of Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm watching a Jets game and shouting "Go out of bounds, go out of bounds! Why is it that the players for the other teams always go out of bound and ours don't? Its insane!"

there were 2 Oakland defenders blocking Stuckey from going out of bounds...which is why he cut back and went upfield. I screamed the same thing..."GET THE FUCK OUT OF BOUNDS"....but after seeing the replay....i think he would've been tackled before getting out of bounds.

no he absolutely did not...yes the jets tied the game...but throughout that drive receivers failed to step out of bounds costing the jets at least 30 seconds...and i bet with an extra 30 seconds we would have at least had some shots at the end zone to possibly win the game...

Maybe he figured 'they're all expecting me to go out of bounds so I'll cut back, catch them unawares and take this to the house'

Probably should have gone out, but the way they were playing at the time you had to take a shot at a big play when you had the chance. Not a big deal IMO. There were far worse screwups in this game.

He got an extra 15 yards on the play by staying in bounds. You can't fault him too much.

Honestly, how many good passing plays did we have today? We are probably lucky he did it. It was our longest pass play of the game. Stucky was trying to actually win a game for us. If he would have only gotten 5 yards then it would have been a bad move.

And on another note, Stucky was in on a lot of downs but only thrown to twice - both big plays. Why isn't Favre throwing more to Stucky and less to Baker? Especially in 3 WR sets where Stucky is drawing the 3rd cover man. Thats not on the coaches, thats on Favre.

i agree with this statement, when you watched the replay from the endzone it was going to be very difficult for him to get out of bounds and he had an opening which he took advantage of to the tune of 15 yards, once he made the first cut he had no chance to get out of bounds either.
