We are right now still essentially tied for a playoff spot in the AFC. The AFC isn't that strong this year. Our running game got going today. There are still opportunities ahead. Yeah, now we can't have a hiccup, but at least the coaching staff SHOULDN'T take anyone lightly. The key work being shouldn't. I am really upset at the coaching staff, but there are still 10 GAMES left, and i think that this team is getting better. Thoughts?
Good post. We have 10 games left, and we're 3-3 right now. Our defense is playing well. We weren't a very good team today, but we can still win some games. i see us at 9-7 at the end of the season.
The only silver lining is the run blocking. Everything else sucked. I mean, the defense was fine, but the Raiders have a bad offense.
It was an absolutely terrible loss, but I agree. We're 6 games into the season, and we've shown a hell of a lot more than we showed this game.
this lost totally sucked. there is no silver lining here. we should be 4-2 right now. 5-2 after the kc game. probably playing for 1st place @ buffalo.
We're 6 games into the season, there are plenty of teams that can say they're still in the playoff race. At the end of the season though, most of them won't be. The other teams with similar records to ours that you expect in the playoffs have had tough schedules and injuries to overcome. As they get healthier, they'll get better, but we've been healthy and we lose games to teams that we shouldn't lose to. Down the stretch we'll do that some more, whereas these teams won't. Well, I dunno, I'm hoping we get better and get hot, but you certainly don't celebrate losses.
When you lose to a shit team, you really can't find the silver lining in being 3-3 anf the topic of playoffs. Were going to have to play much better teams in a few weeks to even keep above water. then the playoffs....whats the point if you cant beat the shit teams
There's no silver lining because no matter how hard the guys play, the CS is going to fuck up the game by poor play calling or poor decison making. If we had reason to believe the CS would improve, that's a silver lining. Other than that, what hope is there?
I wonder if the reason the run blocking was so good was because Callahan wanted to stick it to Davis.
Playoffs???! I just hope we can win a game. Because they play down to the level of their opponent. Right down the penalties, apparently.
