Yeah, with these coaches and the playcalling, we're not going anywhere.

And they are about where they should be. This is how and 8-8 team plays. Not bad, not great, just so so. Better than last year, but alot of work to be done.

Been a long time viewer of the site; first time poster.

While the season is not over, the optimism is fading with every shit play call the coaching staff makes. They seem to forget that we have Brett Farve playing QB, their playbook is curtailed towards the arm of Pennington. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder if it was Pennington's weak arm that made the offense look inept or if it was in fact this pussy play calling.

This loss just makes things a little harder for us. Instead of being a game behind buffalo, now it's two. Hopefully we can beat KC next week and we'll go from there. This game is over and in the books. Let's see if mangini can be a real coach and bring his team back.

I can't help but agree. That was pathetic. It doesn't matter if the jets beat the Chiefs next week, because they CANNOT be any legit teams, PERIOD. The fucking raiders?! Are you serious?!

If the jets beat the chiefs AND THEN, somehow magically go into buffalo and steal a victory, they will be okay. If not, they are done. The schedule gets VERY tough after KC, and we just blew an easy one.

aight you know what I want people to be fired as well I can't blame them, but seriously to call this season over is ridiculous we have 3 loss's this season, ok that means we can make 3 more mistakes, but you know what we still have alot of football left so dont give up, look at the giants last year

Since so many of you are declaring the season over, I would humbly ask that any of you who happen to have season tickets please offer them to those less fortunate who don't want to give up on the team in October. Thanks.

the definition of season being over to me is missing the playoffs. this team just showed me that they're not making the playoffs without some lucky breaks. outside of 1 quarter against the cardinals, what exactly have we seen from this team that is so impressive?? the only good news about this season is the schedule. maybe we can salvage the playoffs b/c of it, but unless we have a similar giants miracle, this team's not goin far.

One mroe time: R.I.P. 2008 Jets Season: When will I learn? It doesn't matter who is the Quarterback, the Head coach, or the Owenership: This franchise's sole purpose is to be the laughingstock of the NFL.

I don't know what you look for when you watch football or how well you know the game, but it's not the guys in Jets jerseys who are the most to blame.

Not only are the Jets going nowhere this season, but, Brett Favre's gonna get seriously injured. I can't remember seeing him get knocked down so much. And what kind of wussy play calling was that??? It was total B.S.!!! I'm so friggin disgusted right now, I can't even think straight!

The '68 Jets (11-3) lost to Denver (5-9) and Buffalo (1-13!) in spite of being 19 point favorites in each of those games. Their other regular season loss came after taking the lead against Oakland (in Oakland, of course)32-29 with just over a minute left in regulation. They ended up losing 43-32 as the Raiders scored twice in the final minute.
I'm not suggesting the Jets will turn this thing around and win the Super Bowl, far from it! Just illustrating their history of blowing games they should win.
