The Houston Texans would be the Oilers, which I think would be better for the long time fans in Houston. The Oilers were a good franchise.
Are you kidding I think the Titans throwbacks are one of the best looking throwbacks in the NFL. Hands down better than the Eagles piss colored throwbacks. Why the hell weren't they on the list? Never heard of the Titans. Don Maynard!
i also happen to like black cleats no matter what. they always make the uni look better. i think we need to get some pictures up of the unis that we hate or love. maybe thats an idea for a thread during this bye week.
i also like the pants with no stripes on them. just look cleaner. on a side note i think we had to change our color from kelly green because the suck ass nfl dictated it to us. story i remember is that they were trying to get more jerseys out there and the manufacturers said it would be easier if there were a more limited number of colors they had to deal with. so the nfl made the teams have very very similar colors. hence most of the greens are the same, most of the reds are the same, most of the blues are the same. it sucks but thats the nfl for ya.
Both the Bills home and road uni's are hideous. The throwbacks with the white helmets are sharp though.
That would be awesome. The Oilers were always a fun team, it's too bad they no longer exist. Agree completely. They should go with those all the time like the Jets and Giants did. San Diego should, too.
I abhor the current Bills get-ups. Their throwback uniforms, on the other hand, are tremendous. It was nice when they wore them against Oakland this year. It looked like an old AFL game. Other times the Bills had worn those throwbacks against Dallas and Tampa Bay. They did play the Cowboys once in the red standing buffalo uniforms. The Cowboys beat them 49-37 at old War Memorial Stadium in Week 1 of 1971. I like the current Chargers uniforms. They don't need to go back to the late 1960s/early 1970s stuff that many fans like because they have alternate powder blue jerseys, which they wore against New England on Monday night.
baseball and basketball should have done this more so than football You would not be rooting for a team called the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The white helmets are certainly an improvement, even the Fouts era ones were pretty cool. The thing that makes me laugh is the ball cap with the lightning bolt, it always looks like a sad face to me. When Keading missed that FG against us in the playoffs, I remember they cut to Marty and his hat and face matched perfectly.
True. Not sure who they would be, perhaps the Angels. I think that was the minor league PCL team there before the Dodgers moved.
My favorite NFL uniforms of all-time are probably the Chargers blue helmets/white jerseys/yellow pants look of the late 1970s/early 1980s. They wore them at home all the time from 1978-83 and often times on the road, of course. Their blue jerseys at that time were awful. Denver made them wear blue in 1980. I think the Chiefs made them wear blue at least once in that era, also. (Edit- It was in 1980. The Chiefs wore white at home that entire season.)
i have been in ALOT of ghettos in my life and never once have i seen 2 guys running around in football uniforms. i will ask the basis for your comment as if i were to surmise on my own what you are trying to say it would probably be bad. so i will give you a shot to explain your comment. the falcons unis are much much much different they are the "new" style uniforms with the little stripes here and fancy striped on the pants. these are not anything in any way like that. i think they are strong and sharp, not in any way gangland ghetto, whatever the hell that means. seafood i dont remember ray lewis being convicted of accomplice to anything, he in fact was convicted of obstruction of justice. he wasnt even suspended by the league. please dont slander the guy with incorrect facts. he very well may have been acting as the peacemaker in the whole situation. if you werent talking about ray lewis and there is someone who was convicted of accomplice to murder then i will stand corrected.
