I just filled my ballot out for the pro bowl, yeah really early i know, but i figured get it done now. I actually voted for d'brick just because he has been really good, and there really aren't that many tackles in the AFC playing better. The other guys i voted for at the tackle position are Ryan Clady and Michael Roos. Again still early but just wanted to get some thoughts.

This is an illustration on how irrelevant the Pro Bowl is. The voting is open and it's not even mid-season yet.

No. He's improving, no doubt about it, but he's not close yet. Unless he were absolutely dominating pass blocking, I couldn't in good faith vote for somebody who is not well rounded (ie spotty run blocking) for the Pro Bowl...

The running game sucks and D'Brick has not shown me any improvement in that deptment. Not only that, if we can get one of these stats geeks to re-watch the games, they run right more often than left. Only complete LTs should be in the Pro Bowl.

I think he has definitely shown improvement in the run game, but he still isn't close to a dominant run blocker. He's getting close to a dominant pass blocker but isn't there yet. The potential is there.

I think if he has another off season like he had this year if he puts more bulk on we could be looking at a beast next season. Even then, he would realistically probably not make a PB until 2010.

No. He's definitely gotten better but not PB caliber yet.

And, I agree with Byz. The PB should be abolished. Or maybe, just make it like an honorary thing with some credibility, in which there's no game played.

No, but I would vote for Favre, Coles/Cotch, Jenkins, Revis, Rhodes, Mangold and Pace

I'm going to continue voting throughout the season, but for now I voted for:

Favre, Pace, Jenkins and Revis and Washington as KR

Rhodes? I love Kerry, but you do realize that he has yet to register a sack, interception or even a forced fumble?

No way is Kerry Rhodes worthy of a probowl vote.

Good call--being a jets fan, I'll vote Harris too if he's on the ballot.

And for ST, LW if on the ballot.

Man! We got some mother-fuc*ing playas!

I would vote him in simply for the fact that from the games I have been watching he is as good if not better then any LT I have watched this year. Go ahead and name them. The only one I have not watched is Peters and he missed 2 or 3 games I can not recall.

LOL at not being a dominant run blocker, for the life of me I cannot get why you guys can not understand that an LT that is truly great at both not named Ogden or Pace is folly. Walter Jones anyone..............Nah he is perennially All-Pro and he is not a great run blocker. Especially now that Hutch is not there.

Jets fans should vote for him out of spite, since he didn't get the votes last year when he had the stats.

    That's about right.

  17. I don't think Brick is a complete player yet...however Miamipuck made a good point: Other than Jason peters...there's nobody else in the AFC who is pass protecting better than Brick.

On one hand, it would be nice to get him in based on how many people on this site cried about the guy for two years and over did his shortcomings. On the other hand, ever since John Lynch kept making Pro Bowls in Denver, beating out Kerry Rhodes, whose a million times better, yet then got cut, I can't take the Pro Bowl seriously.

Actually Jason Peters has been horrible this year, he has surrendered more sacks than D'brick. The guy who has been good is Ryan Clady, who is having a great start to his career.

Hey, does anyone have the stat line for how Many QB's in the history of the game ahve been voted into back to back probowls where each one was in a different division
(favre #1 overall vote getter in the NFC last season for the probowl - On pace win and statwise to get into the AFC probowl the following season).

That just seems remarkable to me. Now all he would have to do (if he got in) is play a couple more season so he can beat the packers to become the first QB in history to beat all 32 teams.
