I wasn't able to catch the game unfortunately i had to spend a day with the family. Wanted to know if some people could fill me in on a couple of things, thanks. 1. Who started for eric smith? Elam, and if he did how did he play 2. Did kris jenkins play? how much, how well? 3. Did Chatman get any carries? how did he do? 4. What was with this cotchery injury i heard about, is he ok? Thanks guys
i think elam started. jenkins played and was solid against the run. didnt play on passing downs. chatman was nearly non-existent. i think he caught a pass and had one run. i think cotchery is fine. i read elsewhere it might be just a poke in the eye.
Yes the post above me is right Elam did start .. he got a big tackle for a loss on 3rd and 1. He didnt seem to terrible, because I never screamed "Fuckin piece of shit Elam" so i think he did okay. Jenkins is a beast Chatman, just like the guy above me said .. had one run .. "non existent" Cotch played great and seems very fine ...
You shouldn't use the term "Unfortunately" when spending time with your family unless you qualify it by specifically stating your "in-laws".
Chatman 1 carry for 0 yards, 1 catch for 2 yards....playcalling was abysmul again, too conservative...
Why was it too conservative. Not every game is planned the same way. Cincy could not run it and they didnt think the kid could throw it (he couldnt). The only way they could score is if they picked up a fumble and ran it in. Otherwise, they were never going to score. And as great as the QB is -- he make some awful decisions.
Play to lose philosophy, they kept them in the game, deeper passing game opens up the run, as well as the run opening up the play action... should have annihilated this sorry team, the playcalling kept them in the game till almost the end...
I have no problem with the way they played this game. They wanted to play tight - and make few mistakes and won the game. In case you didnt notice -- tons of games yesterday went down to the wire (even between good teams and bad teams). Ill take a 12 pointer.
I'm happy we won, but teams like this should be put away fast, the best teams have a killer instinct, which we haven't developed yet...
