Woody is listed as having a non-injury illness. This could be an opportunity to observe Wayne Hunter with the OL.

How long is Nugent going to take to get fit again?

  4. That's not good. I'm assuming Hunter would start in his place.

Mangini said it was a "cold". i'm guessing it may be more serious than that

This sucks. Hopefully for him it's not grapefruit balls that are the problem.

Well, Hunter is probably our best backup lineman, and Woody is our worst or 2nd worst starter. Still not good news, but he's one of the more replaceable starting linemen.

could be the flu or something. he'll be fine next week and maybe even this week. still you'd think he'd be on antibiotics and healthy by now..

Got to disagree with you on this, Woody has played very well, only given up one sack, and has been the best OL in a running situation. His one problem has been motion penalties

Kind of off topic but has anyone else seen how bad Woody's stance is? He puts all his weight on his front hand.

yeah well that is a gigantic problem. The first 3 games his penalties were huge. He made the fins game a lot closer then it should have been and he wasn't very good against the Pats. Don't really think the Chargers game was winnable any way you slice it.

btw, isn't Damien Woody better at guard? how come he's playing RT? it's not like B. Moore's that great at guard.

    That's a weird question. They're all good.

I don't think Moore can play tackle. Woody can and has been doing pretty well.

i meant which one of those three (who i think are all good) are worse than Moore? Because the OP said Woody is our 2nd worst OL and i think you said that's untrue. I think Woody's okay but he's probably our 4th best starting O-Lineman right.

It's good that he's so versatile though since we could probably move him to just about any of the 5 spots in case of injury and he'd be fine.

I still love how Moore survives the regime change and doesn't get any bad publicity and even gets a contract extension.... and yet he sucks and is expendable.... maybe he's actually a good guard or he'd be replaced by now.

Thankfully the bengals don't have a great pass rush, so the backup won't have a hard time doing his job.

Whenever I see someone in our backfield it's usually coming from the direction of Moore first.

I don't think any of the Lineman have given up more than 2 sacks individually. Its the RBs blocking assignments that are getting through.
