To me: 1. The Bengals are better than an 0-5 team. 2. The Jets need to pressure Palmer. (Dallas did not) 3. The Jets should use Leon more this week. 4. This won't be an easy win.
The Bengals offense doesn't have any confidence. They kind of just pieced themselves together a few times to look like they were putting up a fight... Personally, I think we whoop their ass.
I learned that there are a few things you can't do. 1. Underestimate the offense. They have weapons. Good ones, at that. They just don't all jel well together. However, if you play on that, you are bound to get beat. 2. Offensively, this is another team, like Arizona, where the foot can not be taken off the petal. Score, Score, and Score some more. Don't stop unless it's out of hand in the 4th. Don't want to turn into the Patriots now, but I don't want to keep it a two score game just to be nice. Lay into them hard and keep going. I don't think their offense can keep up with that. 3. The Bengals are an NFL team. As such, they are dangerous on any given week. Look at what Miami has done, or the big scare Houston put into indy. Heck, even the raiders are giving teams very good runs for their money. You cannot underestimate any team no matter who they are. It seemed the cowboys thought they would blow them out, and that didn't happen.
I don't worry about us underestimating what that O can do...especially now that Henry is back...I just straight think we'll whoop their ass.
Oh not a quiz. you didn't announce there was going to be a quiz before the game. I would have paid attention
just pitch it out to Leon and let him turn the corner on the sweeps....Felix Jones was killing the Bengals D with that play all day.
The Bengals will make mistakes. Don't shoot yourself in the foot, let them give you the game. Good idea.
let one of the mentally challenged guys on that team (they have many) do something dumb and then capitalize on it. play like they did last week on o if they put the game in favres hands that d has no chance at containing the passing attack.
I really didn't see anything scary about the Bengals offense or defense today. No one said this was going to be an easy win, but rather it is totally within the Jets capability to beat them. We SHOULD win this game.
 So true. Seriously we would likely set an NFL record for safeties in a season, in one game.... But from a reality perspective. The Jets need to come out and play their balls off to win this game. The bengals pose a huge threat and this is more than the classic trap game. It is probably the definition. These guys have just been waiting for one week to turn it on and put it all together. They will likely be pissed off about something, and be ready to try and kill the Jets, just because thats who they get to line up against. the Jets need to come out firing on all cylinders, and get Revis on Housh and Lowery and Rhodes combo on Johnson.
We can run it down their throats, and playaction them to death. We have to pressure Palmer, it was off a lot when pressured
Carson Palmer looked TERRIBLE today. And we have a way better secondary than Dallas. There is no reason why we should not beat the Bengals - losing would be a huge embarrassment.
For as bad as they looked at times, they were in that game until the final minute, and got a few terrible calls (and non-calls) that could have kept them in the game more. Chris Henry might play a role next week. He's a tall and talented receiver that is going to be hard to match up with.
Yeah, caps terrible is an understatement. Two passes to Perry resonate with me, one to him in the end zone and one while he was scrambling right. Both were inexcusably atrocious. The announcers said Palmer didn't practice all week. He will be practicing with Henry & co. this week for the Jets and will be sharper. Not excellent, sharper is my prediction. Also, Benson will probably be named starter after Perry fumbled again.
I Saw a team that sucks on offense and cant get it together mainly due to a shitty run game and there D is average at best with no ability to really stop the run or pass. We should Pressure Palmer up the A like we did warner in the 1st half and on offense try to get a rythm going with the run (Use Leon More) and then let Favre do what he does best "PICK D's APART". That all being said it wont be a easy win. They never are.
I saw a Bengals team that is more talented then it's record indicates. They have weapons on offense that can make plays, but largely get down on themselves. I also saw a Dallas team that played frustrated and tight, they aren't nearly as good as BSPN would have you believe. I know this is contrary to the spirit of this thread, but I had to do it!
With Houshmanzadeh outperforming Ocho Cinco, does Revis man him or Chad? edit: Sorry, I should ask, does Revis shutdown him or Chad?
