not a chance. the mets have already benched castillo, if they trade him for a high priced piece of shit like byrnes they'll run him out there every day because they're paying him so much. let castillo rot in the minors or just release him. also, if the mets traded away milledge because they didn't like him rapping do you really think they'd pursue a guy like bradley?

I didn't say that the Mets would do it since the Mets are stupid and would choose to go with a crappy player and force a good player to go by overplaying any little transaction, but just looking at the Mets lineup Bradley would fit really well and Bradley's craziness i a bit overblown as he hasn't done anything in a long time.

Eric Byrnes is a passionate hungry player who wants to win and has a lot of talent, he's just the guy we need on this team. Trade Church and let murphy play the outfield, Sign Orlando Hudson for second and take Castillo out back and shoot him. Then we can look at pitching.

 

I like Dunn, hes one of my favorite players, but i dont think he fits in with this team and if we wanted him we could have picked him up at the trade deadline for almost nothing.

Abreu is trash, that would be a horrible move, if they sign abreu to a multi-year deal it will be castillo all over again.

 

I'd like the trade for Byrnes if they straight platooned him with Church, but no more than that.

 

Olney has a piece on his blog where he discussed pitchers who may be traded this offseason. I'd like Zach Grienke or Edwin Jackson; both of whom could be pretty good in the NL.

Zach Grienke has some good stuff, he's rotting away in KC but I like him alot. I don't know what the Mets would need to give up to snag him but if the Royals are looking to deal him I'd be willing to listen if I was Omar. Maybe they could send Burgos back to the Royals? (Even the Royals aren't that stupid)

 

Funny you mention Burgos, he's back in the news today. Apparently hit and killed two women in the Dominican with his car.
