http://www.newyorkjets.com/blog/posts/715--a-great-example-of-the-offense-we-can-be- It's only one game, but I'm salivating over a Jets offense actually being potent. It CAN be.
If the Jets build on the Arizona game this will be a really fun year! Hopefully the defense can help keep the offense on the field!
It has been proven that we are capable of big things, I think teams are going to start to take a whole other view on this team now. I'm not saying we are superbowl bound but we do have some talent here. It feels good to finally be a fan of a team that can be exciting.
The success we had in passing should open up the run a bit as well--not that I am recommending we run very much.
Yeh, offense looked good, but let's not forget, our defense look awful, and they forced 7 turn overs!!! How is that possible? That was a bizzare game.
That's not a problem, seeing as how the D is letting the other team score TDs on 2 minute drives.
FAVRE, JETS SHOW 'POTENTIAL' OF OFFENSE http://www.nypost.com/seven/09302008/sports/jets/favre__jets_show_potential_of_offense_131310.htm
That truly was an exciting game, what I saw of it, (had a family function so I missed most of the second half, dammit!) I gather in the second we went to the craptastic prevent D hence letting them back in the game for a bit. Since I mostly read the forums and dont post to much I cant start a new thread so I think this is a fitting thread to ask this question. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt Vinny T hold the record or is tied for the record with 29td passes in a season, most by any Jet? If that is the case Favre is on track to shatter that. Just some food for thought
The thing that made me feel a little better after they started scoring in the second half was that our offense was able to score also. In years past we would have just barely squeaked that game out.
