Enberg was great, but I agree with the other poster that he does slip up alot.

Too bad, he was a great announcer and made the games fun to watch.

I thought Billick and Baldinger were pretty good. Stockton is clueless.

Simms is the number one announcer and only gets the best game of the week. I am surprised you would have seen him enough to even care.

I agree. I think Simms is fantastic. I thought he was better paired with Greg Gumble rather than Jim Nantz

I thought these announcers were HORRIBLE!! Stockton at one point was asking if the Jets were going to call a time out, when, moments before, Favre held up a "t" on television. And they kept calling Poteat a linebacker??? WTF????? I don't ever want to see a game on FOX again. Our CBS boys would be showing fireman Ed getting the crowd riled up...FOX turned down the sound...EFF THEM. Those announcers were horrendous. The fact that Baldinger called Eric Smith for a blatant hit was absurb....smith was going for Bouldins waist, and Rhodes slammed Boulding into Smith. This has to be a joke that he's getting fined...Has to be!!

I liked Miller more than Kornheiser. Miller gave me a few good moments. I'm still waiting for Kornheiser to say something good.

My favorite Miller line was from the Week 1 Broncos-Rams game. Al Michaels was talking about Mark Schlereth's knees. Miller chimed in with "This guy's been scoped more often than a redneck's been abducted by aliens."

They were okay wasn't my favorite though. We barely ever play on FOX.

I used to love Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen - they did the 1986 Dolphins shootout, also a great game against the Colts at the end of the 1988 season. Those games, and the commentary, have always stuck in my mind.

    How can anyone dislike Simms?

The guy is straight up awesome and knows the game. His analysis is 2nd to none and IMO he is the best on TV right now.

All these other idiots make waaaay too many mistakes and don't even seem to care.

Everytime the JETS are on they don't even know the players or about them, Simms does and shows that he put in the extra time and effort.

The MNF crew is getting worse every year!
Tirico knows nothing and sounds so fake when something exciting happens..

I have to agree, Simms is one of the better ones out there. How could you not like him?

He's one of the best at breaking down the plays and explaining what the hell happened, and its nice to hear someone who calls the game and is totally unbiased in his opinion.

Hearing Billick just seemed odd to me. Couple times his timing was way off and it was like missing a shift while driving a manual. He'll probably get better over time though.

I always liked Maguire, especially when he did Jets games on NBC with Marv Albert.

Frankly, I thought the announcing blew. Too many mistakes and NO energy. I thought I was watching a knitting bee.

Simms is the best. Bryant Gumbel and Cris Collinsworth on the nfl network last where just awful. Gumbel is good on real sports but sucks at calling a game

Cris Collinsworth is in my opinion the best analyst out there. Simms is second. I think Troy Aikman and Brian Baldinger are tied for 3rd.

I've got to be honest the only announcers I can't stand are Kornhiesser and that total clown Thiesman, who has for some reason always hated the Jets.

My favourites- Pat Summerall and the excellent Bob Trumpy and Don Crikey. Who remembers these guys?

Agreed I love Gus Johnson. He gets me so pumped, I love his voice and his enthusiasm. Plus, hes knowledgable. He's the anti-tony kornheiser. I hate Kornheiser. He offers nothing to a real football fan. With that being said, I wasn't really a fan of the fox broadcasting team. They were eh...

I like the Fox team with Goose on the sidelines.
