how many said to themselfs ,this is it if we blow this Im finished with the Jets .. Eric need not reply to this thread . I said it but I didnt really mean it :-( Did I ?
You can feel the panic setting in its unreal ,only with Jets football can a fan have this kind of experience ..
The only thing I said to myself was...I am used to this. I figured if they blew that lead, the team would really nosedive.
I could NEVER quit on this team, I could never give up on the Jets...I will be a die hard Jets fan till the day I die... Win or lose: I love this team and would never wish to be a fan of another team...F the Pats
I thought "Worst case scenario, Arizona ties the score and the Jets have to start trying again, which when they did earlier in the game resulted in a total blowout."
Yep.............. That's all the more reason to rejoice. Yes the Jets showed a lot of schizophrenic behavior today, but they won. You long time Jets fans who have suffered with this team have to admit........fate smiled today. They usually lose this game. JOY
Nah I said it's up to Brett and the offense to slam the door shut on the Cardinals. They did just that. YES!
agreed this is 100% the truth. As soon as the second quarter started with them scoring in under 3 mins, i started shaking in my boots. Then we went 3 and out, they scored again, theykicked the onside kick and scored again, i was shitting my pants saying they were going to be back in the game, and we would be behind with 10 mins to go. Then favre got the ball and all was not lost. Go Favre.
when the Cards recovered that onside kick and turned that drive into another score...that's when the nausea surfaced.
For some reason, I think it is human nature for a team up 34 - 0 at the half to let up in the third quarter. I saw this happen a couple of times this week besides with the NYJs. However, I think you have to take a look at how the NYJs forced the Cards to respect one thing they were doing so that they could do another and take complete advantage of them. Did you notice how wide open our WRs were downfield today? Do you think that is because Cotch has suddenly developed 4.1 speed? What happened to Green that made him fall down and leave Coles so wide open that he kind of backed into the endzone...? Did you notice that Green was over his embarrassment after a few plays and was back in his position on the field, trying to defend Coles again? The NYJs were dictating to the Cards, and getting the Cards to go after their feints. This is what was going on in the first half, and this is what was going on in the second half. Are you going to fault our guys because they wanted to play the game so that they tempted the Cards back into the fray, and then kicked their asses once more, just when they were getting their hopes up again? This was such a lot of fun. Why can't you guys enjoy it?
No, usually they don't lose this game. No NFL team has ever squandered a 34-point lead. My cousin texted me when Arizona started scoring in the 3rd. At 3:07 he wrote- "Watch the jets give this up" I replied- "won't happen" He then complained some more. I ended it with this at 3:16- "I'm not even remotely concerned"
im not gonna lie i did...... i mean id come back to them after a couple of days but i probably wouldnt talk to anyone
I said to myself.. "AAAAARGGGGHHHH WHY GOD WHY???", then I curled up into the fetal position and cried.
Cakes: It reminded me of a Miami-Charges playoff game a hundred years ago. San Diego has this 24-0 lead after 1, Woodley goes down in the 2d and in comes the back-up Don Strock and he must have been wearing Johnny Unitas' shoes because he reeled off drive after drive and actually gets the game tied and has his kicker in place for a chip shot with seconds on the clock and he blows it and the Chargers save it in OT for a 41-38 win. I was thinking, jeez its just like that Miami game.
