unfortunately, as much as I hate USC, if history teaches us anything, if you are going to lose in college football, lose early. if USC doesn't drop out of the top ten, which they probably won't, and doesn't lose another game, which they probably won't, at the end of the year they'll creep up every week as the other teams ahead of them lose and will have catapulted all of the teams that lose later, even if they all have only one loss. that's just how the polls work.

a lot of ranked teams lost today. Georgia is about to be added to the list. 31-3 Alabama with 8 minutes and change left in the 3rd quarter. Alabama has the ball again, 1st and 10. Georgia just started a drive from their own 25 and netted a loss of 3 yards and now a punt.
31-17 Alabama with 11 minutes left. Alabama driving and in FG range. If they score a TD, it makes it a 3 score game and that will be game over, IMO.
