this is the final year of pedro's contract, so unless we make the postseason, this will be the last time we see pedro in a mets uniform
he shouldn't pitch in the playoffs. What we should've done is experiment with him in the bullpen in September to see if the bad first inning would hold true there. If he can't pitch out of the bullpen, he shouldn't be on the playoff roster if we make it. Dreadful pitcher.
I know that with this bullpen you don't have much choice, but it still made me ill seeing Pedro sent up to bat there. I put it at about 3-to-1 against him getting through the 6th inning without giving up a run.
the bullpen is just to terrible to ph for pedro there. if pedro can get through the 6th, we might have a chance tonight. i am not giving up until we are officialy eliminated, although chances are i will be heartbroken again
I don't know if it's even possible but with the rest would it be feasable to go with a 3 man rotation in the playoffs should the Mets make it? Johan, Pelfrey and Perez.
Shockingly effective inning for Pedro in the pouring rain. A run now could actually possibly be enough, since the rain is only going to get harder, and the Cubs have to leave to go to Milwaukee.
It'd be interesting to see how last nights game would've went if this ump was behind the plate. Guy has a giant strike zone.
I have serious doubts that MLB is going to do anything that might be controversial. They'll let the Cubs wait till 2 AM to finish this game.
Okay, Ron, what kind of story is it for Martinez to go down looking? It's so obvious that the announcers are desperately trying to keep the spirits up, which only makes it sadder.
Oh me of little faith, but I really don't have a good feeling about sending Pedro out for another inning.
Explain to me why he is even playing? It's not Spring Training guys like hime should be getting ready for Fall ball.
