I've become numb to sports failure, it hardly even fazes me anymore. It is all I have known in my lifetime outside of the Mets winning the WS when I was 11 years old.

I'm cursed with a cross of false hope that things will change someday.....combined with an extraordinary dose of pessimism.......which puts me in the odd predicament I often find myself......which inevitablly leads to painful letdowns. Frankly Im much more accustomed to those from the Jets...but now the Mets are making it an annual occurrence.

words cant describe how i feel about last nights game. ive been positive all year, but last night was it. The Final Straw. This team doesnt deserve to make the playoffs and if they do it will be out of sheer luck.

that's what I keep trying to tell myself too....if by some stroke of sheer luck, this bunch of clowns manages to squeak into the playoffs.....it's pretty obvious that whoever plays them will make short work of them unless Johan pitches every game.

I think they are going to as Pinella wants them to get some rest but not too much. Of course tonight I'm sure Peee Ay will hit 3 HRs and Harden will pitch 6 innings of no hit ball.

at least it was only 2 runs. how do the fans not shower this piece of garbage with boos? maybe the game will get rained out before it's official and pedro's awfulness will be erased.

Last night, The Shea Stadium Jerker wiped his ass while standing about 10 feet behind the right field foul pole. He then threw one soiled napkin behind somebody's wheelchair and put the other soiled napkin on a barricade.

Church caught stealing to end the inning!

    #^$@

Koyie Hill, the guy who had a table saw accident with his throwing hand 11 months ago, threw him out.

ok, Pedro. I'm convinced. You're the worst pitcher in baseball. You don't have to keep trying to persuade me each inning.
